The McGrath Stafford Smart Lock is a durable, trade-grade digital lock designed for Australian residential and commercial applications where reliability, compliance, and long-term support matter. Featuring raised buttons with a tempered glass screen, the Stafford provides four access methods in a non-biometric platform and supports compliant installation on fire-rated doors when fitted in approved configurations.

Access Methods
Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 × AA alkaline batteries (not included).
- Terry's Locksmiths STRONGLY recommends Duracell above any other battery brand
- Low battery alerts provided both within the McGrath Locks App and audibly at the lock.
- Typical battery life up to 12 months (based on approximately 10 uses per day).
- USB-C emergency power port allows temporary operation using a power bank.
- Mechanical key override provided using a full-size oval rekeyable pin cylinder.
- User access credentials are retained during battery replacement.
Wi-Fi Remote Access (Optional)
This smart lock does not include native Wi-Fi connectivity. Remote access and management features are available only when the lock is paired with a compatible McGrath Locks gateway.
When a gateway is installed, users can remotely unlock the door, issue or revoke access credentials, and view access activity through the McGrath Locks App from anywhere with an internet connection.

Fire Rated
- Fire rated up to 2 hours when installed on Firecore or E-Core doorsets.
- Fire performance applies only when installed with approved hardware configurations.
- Approved configurations include the supplied McGrath adjustable tubular latch or Dormakaba MS2602 mortice lock.
- Fire compliance is system-based and limited by the Fire Resistance Level of the complete doorset.
