McGrath Kedron Smart Digital Deadbolt
The McGrath Kedron is a premium smart digital deadbolt designed and developed for the Australian market. Featuring a tempered glass keypad with integrated fingerprint reader, the Kedron delivers fast, secure, and flexible access control for residential and light-commercial hinged doors.
Managed through the McGrath Locks App using Bluetooth as standard, access can be granted via fingerprint recognition, PIN codes, RFID credentials, Bluetooth eKeys, or a mechanical key override. Optional remote access is available when paired with a compatible McGrath Locks Wi-Fi gateway. A door position sensor is supplied for optional door open monitoring and auto-locking logic.

Unlocking Methods
Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 × AA alkaline batteries (not included).
- Typical battery life approximately 12 months (based on ~10 uses per day).
- Low battery alerts provided audibly at the lock and within the app.
- USB-C emergency power input for temporary access.
- Mechanical key override with rekeyable PD cylinder.
- Terry’s Locksmiths strongly recommends the use of Duracell batteries.
Wi-Fi Remote Access (Optional)
This smart lock does not include native Wi-Fi connectivity. Remote access and management features are available only when the lock is paired with a compatible McGrath Locks gateway. When a gateway is installed, users can remotely unlock the door, issue or revoke access credentials, and view access activity through the McGrath Locks App from anywhere with an internet connection. Is the Kedron a full door lock or just a deadbolt?
The Kedron is a deadbolt-only smart lock and must be installed alongside a separate handle or latch.
Does the Kedron have built-in Wi-Fi?
No. Remote access is available only when paired with a compatible McGrath Locks Wi-Fi gateway.
Can the fingerprint reader be disabled?
Yes. Fingerprint access can be disabled or restricted through the McGrath Locks App.
Is this lock suitable for sliding doors?
No. The Kedron is designed for hinged (swing) doors only.
