Borg BL2107 Marine Grade EasiCode Pro Deadbolt - Matt Black
The Borg BL2107 is a fully mechanical pushbutton deadbolt with Easi-Code Pro (ECP) on-door code change technology. It is built from a cast housing with stainless steel buttons and finished in a black marine external grade coating (MG Pro), tested to 1,000 hours salt spray for use in coastal, marine, and saline environments.
Unlike standard Borg 2000 series locks which require removal from the door to change the code, the BL2107's Easi-Code Pro system allows the code to be changed while the lock remains installed. A small code change key is inserted into the * button to enter programming mode. An optional code change disabling plug is included to lock out the code change function from the exterior — preventing unauthorised code changes by anyone who does not have access to the interior of the door.
The BL2107 uses a 25mm throw mortice deadbolt with a dual 60/70mm backset follower included as standard. The inside knob provides codeless locking — the door can be locked from the inside without entering a code. The lock suits doors from 35mm to 85mm thick and is rated for external medium duty doors and gates.
Usually same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and Qld public holidays)
Heavy Duty: Consider Lockwood DX, Borg 7701, Carbine CDL7000 Series.
Codes can be changed while the lock remains installed on the door.
Suitable for coastal and saline environments.
Saltwater tested and guaranteed to resist corrosion for up to 1 year.

Easi-Code Pro — How to Change the Code
The code can be changed with the lock installed on the door. The door must be in the open position during the code change. You must know the current code before changing it.
- Enter the existing code.
- Insert the code change key into the hole in the * button. Press fully and hold until step 5.
- Press the C button to clear the existing code.
- Enter the new code.
- Release the code change key from the * button.
- Press C to set the new code.
- The new code is now active.
- Test the new code 5 times, confirming it withdraws the bolt, before closing the door.
If a mistake is made during code entry while the * button is held, press C to cancel the entered buttons and start again from step 3. The C button acts as a reset during programming without releasing the * button.
Maintenance Guide
Apply a light spray of silicon-based lubricant (such as GT85) to the keypad surface and all exposed elements of the deadbolt assembly. Remove excess with a soft cloth. Do not use oil-based lubricants such as WD-40 — oil-based products attract dirt. Silicon-based lubricant also displaces moisture from the internal mechanisms, which is especially important in marine environments.
- Remove the lock from the door.
- Spray the inside of the lock with GT85 or similar silicon-based lubricant through the tumbler holes on the reverse of the keypad. Remove excess with a soft cloth.
- Spray all fixings, accessories, and the deadbolt with silicon-based lubricant.
- Push each button and operate the deadbolt several times to confirm smooth operation and that all buttons return fully to their outward position.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this and the standard BL2001?
The BL2107 is a deadbolt — the bolt is square-edged and throws 25mm into the frame; it does not retract automatically when the knob is turned. The BL2001 uses an anti-thrust latch that retracts when the knob is turned. The BL2107 also features Easi-Code Pro on-door code change, marine grade finish, and suits thicker doors up to 85mm. The BL2001 uses a tumbler-based code change requiring the lock to be removed from the door.
What does the code change disabling plug do?
The optional disabling plug is inserted into the * button hole on the exterior of the keypad. This physically blocks access to the code change function from outside the door — preventing anyone without access to the interior from changing the code. It is included in the box and can be installed or removed at any time.
What does "codeless locking" mean?
Codeless locking means the door can be locked from the inside by turning the interior knob without entering a code on the keypad. This is useful when leaving through another exit or when locking up quickly from inside.
Does this lock have an inside free-turn handle like the BL2001?
No. The BL2107 is a deadbolt — the inside knob operates the bolt but does not turn freely at all times in the way a lever latch does. The inside knob is used to lock and unlock the deadbolt from the interior.
Is the BL2107 suitable for pool gates?
The BL2107 is rated for external medium duty doors and gates and is salt spray tested to 1,000 hours, making it suitable for pool and marine environments from a corrosion perspective. However, confirm that the lock meets your local pool gate compliance requirements — pool barrier regulations in Australia specify requirements for self-closing and self-latching mechanisms that a deadbolt may not satisfy on its own.
Additional Information
When positioning the spindle, ensure it faces towards the top opening edge of the door as viewed from the keypad side. Use the longest spindle supplied — a spindle that is too short may move out of position if the door is slammed. If the spindle needs to be cut down, only cut the inside handle side. The keypad side must not be cut as the full bladed portion is required to reach the back of the cylinder.
The deadbolt includes both a 60mm and 70mm follower as standard — the two most common backset distances in Australian door preparations. Select the correct follower to match your door's mortice position before installation. No additional parts are needed for either backset.
The MG Pro black coating is a marine external grade finish tested to 1,000 hours salt spray. Regular monthly silicon-based lubrication is recommended to maintain corrosion resistance and smooth operation in harsh coastal environments. Do not use oil-based products.
All Borg locks are warranted against mechanical defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a minimum of 12 months from date of sale. The warranty does not cover damage arising from misuse, vandalism, or improper installation. The lock must not be dismantled — doing so will invalidate the warranty.
