As the sliding door moves laterally into the closed position, the hook travels through the strike opening and the door's own momentum rotates the hook into engagement. Only the inside-handle side of the spindle may be cut if the spindle is too long for the door thickness. The keypad side must never be cut - the full bladed length is needed to reach the back of the cylinder and ensure correct operation. The spring around one side of the spindle (on key override models) must be positioned between the keypad and the side of the latch.

- Warranty claims for Borg products in Australia are processed through LSC, the authorised Australian importer and distributor. Where an item is returned to LSC, freight charges must be prepaid and the item returned within the warranty period.
- If LSC finds the returned item to be defective, it will be repaired or replaced, and a detailed assessment report is provided to the customer after examination.
