McGrath Weather Shield - Black - Suits ML-A02 Keypad

The McGrath Weather Shield is a moulded ABS plastic hood that fits over the McGrath ML-A02 access control keypad to shelter it from rain and direct sun. By keeping driving rain and harsh sunlight off the keypad face, it helps extend the service life of the unit in exposed outdoor and gate-side positions.

Finished in matt black, the shield is designed as a straightforward protective cover for the ML-A02 keypad and similarly sized McGrath access readers. It mounts around the keypad on the wall or gate post and does not interfere with normal PIN, card or fingerprint use.

Does it make the keypad waterproof?
No. The shield is a passive hood that keeps direct rain and sun off the keypad. It does not seal the unit or add an IP rating - always follow the keypad's own rating for exposed positions.

Can I still use the keypad normally with it fitted?
Yes. The hood surrounds the keypad without covering the face, so PIN entry, card presentation and fingerprint reading all work as normal.
