The McGrath MLM6050LSS147 is a keyless 60/50 spindle mortice lock body - the mechanical case that sits inside the door edge and carries the latch and deadbolt for McGrath NX1 and McGrath Albion smart locks. It has a 60mm backset, an 8mm square spindle hub in the low spindle position and a 147mm x 22mm satin stainless steel faceplate. It is the body that comes in the NX1 box when you choose the mortice fitment at checkout (choose the tubular latch instead and no mortice is included), so on its own it is a spare, a second-door body or a conversion part.
It is a lock body only. There are no electronics, no batteries and no cylinder in it. The smart lock drives the latch and deadbolt through the 8mm square spindle, and the mechanical key override lives in the smart lock's own escutcheon cylinder above the handle - not in this case. The handle turns but the latch does not move - what is wrong?
Almost always the spindle is not engaging the follower: either the wrong body (high vs low spindle) or the spindle is too short for the door. Check the item code first, then the spindle length against the door thickness. Mistake 1 - handle still opens and Chapter 12 - wrong spindle position walk through it; the symptom-to-fix table covers the rest.

The deadbolt binds or the door needs lifting to lock - is the body faulty?
Usually not - it is the strike or the door. A bolt that binds is hitting the edge of the strike opening, which means the door has dropped or the strike was cut off-centre; a smart lock will strain its motor and drain batteries fighting it. Twelve months against defects in materials and workmanship, the standard McGrath term. The 24-month term applies to named smart lock models only - the Albion is on that list, but its mortice body is not. See the warranty section for the full wording.

This body has no keyhole, so D (pitch) does not apply to it, and McGrath does not quote H (deadbolt throw) for the 60/50 - both are left off the table. - Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries (the place of purchase) within the applicable warranty period.
- Supply your proof of original purchase - a receipt or tax invoice is required.
- Provide a clear description of the fault and your contact details.
- You may be asked to return the product for assessment before a remedy is determined.
- McGrath Locks will, at their discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same or an equivalent model, or provide a refund of the purchase price.

This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Products that have been disassembled
- Damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, modification, or accident
- Installation by unlicensed persons (including non-licensed locksmiths or technicians)
- Products not used in accordance with the supplied instructions
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
- Labour or installation costs related to the removal or reinstallation of products
- Exposure to conditions outside normal environmental use
- Work completed before warranty approval
- Damage caused by battery leakage, battery failure, or force majeure
