McGrath NX1 Digital Smart Lock - 5-in-1 Access, Standard Stile, Hinged Doors
The McGrath NX1 is a 5-in-1 digital smart lock built for hinged timber and aluminium doors with a standard stile. It sits between the slimline McGrath A-Series and the larger McGrath NX5, giving a balanced lock body that offers some forgiveness on retrofit installations without the bulk of an oversized retrofit lock. It suits residential and light-commercial entry doors.
Lock configuration and day-to-day access are managed through the McGrath Locks App over Bluetooth as standard. Entry can be granted by keypad PIN, RFID card or tag, fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth eKey, or a mechanical key override. Remote unlocking and credential management can be added later by pairing the lock with a compatible McGrath Locks Wi-Fi gateway.
The NX1 ships with your choice of an adjustable 60/70 mm tubular latch or a 60 mm Euro mortice, so it can be matched to the door prep in front of you. Where door thickness, backset or stile width is in question, work through Measuring Your Door (Chapter 02) before ordering.

Access Methods
Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries (not included).
- Typical battery life up to 12 months (based on approximately 10 uses per day).
- Low-battery alerts are provided audibly at the lock and within the app.
- USB-C emergency power input allows temporary operation from a power bank if the batteries are flat.

Wi-Fi Remote Access (Optional)
The NX1 does not include native Wi-Fi. Remote access and management become available only when the lock is paired with a compatible McGrath Locks gateway. With a gateway installed, you can remotely unlock the door, issue or revoke access credentials, and view access activity through the McGrath Locks App from anywhere with an internet connection.

Warranty Summary
How to Make a Claim
- Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries (the place of purchase) within the applicable warranty period.
- Supply your proof of original purchase — a receipt or tax invoice is required.
- Provide a clear description of the fault and your contact details.
- You may be asked to return the product for assessment before a remedy is determined.
- McGrath Locks will, at their discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same or an equivalent model, or provide a refund of the purchase price.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Products that have been disassembled
- Damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, modification, or accident
- Installation by unlicensed persons (including non-licensed locksmiths or technicians)
- Products not used in accordance with the supplied instructions
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
- Labour or installation costs related to the removal or reinstallation of products
- Exposure to conditions outside normal environmental use
- Work completed before warranty approval
- Damage caused by battery leakage, battery failure, or force majeure

NX1 Mcgrath lock
Good lock, ive just been using the finger print scanner its works a treat. Probably the only thing i dont like is you have to lock it with the app when youre inside but other than that its great. The after hours service from you guys is even better from when I was installing it. Above and beyond legends
