The Vault Hinged Mortice Lock (Vault_Hinged_Mortice) is a Euro profile mortice lock designed for hinged swing doors, offering nine backset options (25mm to 70mm, 85mm pitch) to suit varying door preparations and handle positions. It is supplied with a 240mm x 22mm face plate as standard, and two alternative face plates make it a direct replacement for a Lockwood Induro or a Doric DS1273 mortice.
This lock body operates with both latch engagement and manual deadbolt activation via handle lift, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial door applications. It is compatible with standard Euro cylinders and common lever furniture configurations.

Two Choices to Make When You Add This Mortice to Your Cart
- Backset - nine sizes: 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, 60mm or 70mm. See Available Variants.
- Face plate - three sizes: 240mm x 22mm (standard, selected by default), 210mm x 24mm (replaces a Lockwood Induro mortice) or 290mm x 22mm (replaces a Doric DS1273 mortice). See Face Plate Options.
The 210mm x 24mm and 290mm x 22mm face plates are an additional-cost option and are available on every backset. Measure your backset and your existing face plate before ordering.

The face plate is the stainless steel strip you see on the edge of the door. Its height and width decide whether a new mortice drops into the cut-out an old lock left behind, so this mortice is offered with three. All three are available on every backset, and the face plate is chosen when you add the mortice to your cart.

Backset Selection: Incorrect backset selection is a common cause of installation issues - always measure from door edge to handle centre, then order the matching size from the nine on offer. System Compatibility: This lock follows standard 85mm-pitch Euro mortice geometry and differs from specialised smart-lock mortice systems such as the 6068 (68mm pitch) configuration.
Installation: Accurate door preparation is required for correct alignment of latch, cylinder and furniture. On a replacement job, order the face plate that matches the lock coming out - 210mm x 24mm for a Lockwood Induro, 290mm x 22mm for a Doric DS1273. An IP rating describes water resistance, not waterproofing: the lock must not be submerged, pressure washed, or exposed beyond its stated rating, and all seals, gaskets and covers must be correctly fitted and undamaged.
