Lockwood 5782ENOHDSS - Mortice Lock 30 mm Backset to Suit SmartAir Escutcheons Satin Stainless

The Lockwood 5782ENOHDSS is a 30 mm short backset mortice lock body from the Selector 3780 Series, designed to suit SMARTair i-max electronic escutcheons. It brings auxiliary deadlatching security to aluminium and narrow stile commercial doors, with a Satin Stainless Steel faceplate and strike.

Fitted with a SMARTair escutcheon, this mortice turns a narrow-frame commercial door into an electronic access-controlled opening while keeping a proven Selector 3780 Series mechanical lock case at its core. The body is mechanical only - the credentials, electronics and management system all live in the escutcheon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which backset do I need?
Measure from the door edge to the centre of the spindle - our door measuring guide shows how. This model is 30 mm; the family also covers 23 mm (3782ENOHDSS), 25.4 mm (4782ENOHDSS), 38 mm (6782ENOHDSS).
Which SMARTair escutcheons does it suit?
This narrow stile body is the matched mortice for the narrow-mortice i-max escutcheon variants - the Standalone, Update-on-Card and Wireless + Openow narrow mortice models. Match the escutcheon management system to your site, then confirm the backset suits your door stile.
Can I use it on a fire door?
Yes - the lock is tested up to 4 hours on compliant fire door assemblies to AS 1905.1. The rating always depends on the complete certified door assembly, so check the doorset tag first; our standards chapter explains AS 1905.1 fire door requirements.
Will it fit a timber door?
It is designed for aluminium and narrow stile doors. A timber fixing kit (3782-TFKITSS / CP / PB) adapts 3780 series locks to timber doors - see the accessories table above, or ask us to confirm the right kit for your door.
