Lockwood 5782 Narrow Stile Mortice Lock - 30mm Backset, Suits Cortex Escutcheons, Satin Stainless Steel

The Lockwood 5782CTXNZSS is a narrow stile primary escape mortice lock from the Selector 3780 Series, specifically configured to suit Lockwood Cortex digital escutcheons. It is the mechanical lock body component for use with the CTX5782 Cortex lockset, supplied separately for installations where the lock body needs to be sourced independently - including NZ specification sites or projects where the installer supplies the lock body and Cortex escutcheon separately.

The 5782 features a 30mm backset and a 15mm stainless steel deadlatching latch bolt, making it suited to narrow stile aluminium framed doors and other narrow door types where a standard 60mm backset cannot be accommodated. All lock settings are adjustable from under the faceplate. Accepts standard 570 oval cylinders.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does this include the Cortex digital escutcheon?
No. This product is the mechanical lock body only. The Lockwood Cortex CTX5782 digital escutcheon unit is available separately at this link and includes the lock body. Order this product only if you need the lock body independently.
  • Is a cylinder included?
No. A cylinder must be ordered separately. This lock accepts standard Lockwood 570 oval cylinders.
  • Can holdback be used on a fire door?
No. The holdback function must not be activated on fire-rated doors. Fire doors are required to self-close and latch - holdback prevents this and would compromise the fire rating of the doorset.
  • What is the lead time?
This is a long lead time item with an estimated dispatch time of 12 business days. Allow adequate lead time when ordering for project deadlines.

Additional Information

  • NZ Specification:
This variant (5782CTXNZSS) is configured to NZ specification and is designed to suit Lockwood Cortex digital escutcheons. Confirm this is the correct variant for your project before ordering given the 12 business day lead time.
  • Deadlatching Latch Bolt:
The 15mm stainless steel latch bolt is deadlatching - when the door closes, the latch bolt is automatically deadlocked and cannot be retracted by external pressure without operating the handle or key. This provides security against latch slipping without requiring a separate deadbolt.
  • All Settings Under the Faceplate:
All function settings on the 5782 are adjusted from under the faceplate. This simplifies in-door configuration and reconfiguration without requiring the lock body to be removed from the door.
