McGrath ASCOT Double-Sided Digital Smart Gate Lock
The McGrath ASCOT is a double-sided digital smart lock designed for Australian external applications, including gates and doors where access control is required from both sides. It provides multiple electronic and mechanical access methods in a single platform and is built with an IP66-rated housing for exposed environments.
Same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and QLD public holidays)
Key Features
- Double-sided electronic locking prevents access by reaching through or over gates.
- Access via PIN code, RFID cards or tags, Bluetooth eKeys, and mechanical key override.
- Managed locally via Bluetooth using the McGrath Locks App.
- Optional remote access when paired with a compatible McGrath Locks Wi-Fi gateway.
- Anti-peep PIN entry and incorrect attempt lockout for added security.
- Passage mode allows the gate or door to remain unlocked when required.
- Audit trail within the app records access events.
- IP66-rated housings on both handles for dust and high-pressure water resistance.
Access Methods
Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 × AAA alkaline batteries per handle (batteries not included).
- Each side of the lock is independently powered, allowing continued operation if one side’s batteries are depleted.
- Low battery alerts are provided both audibly at the lock and within the McGrath Locks App, allowing batteries to be replaced before lock operation is affected.
- Typical battery life is approximately 12 months, based on average usage of around 10 locking and unlocking operations per day. Actual battery life will vary depending on usage frequency, environmental exposure, and battery quality.
- A mechanical key override is provided for emergency access if electronic power is unavailable.
- User access credentials and lock programming are retained during battery replacement, with no need to re-enrol users after changing batteries.
Wi-Fi Remote Access (Optional)
This smart lock does not include native Wi-Fi connectivity. Remote access and management features are available only when the lock is paired with a compatible McGrath Locks gateway.
When a gateway is installed, users can remotely unlock the door, issue or revoke access credentials, and view access activity through the McGrath Locks App from anywhere with an internet connection.
