McGrath G3 Ethernet Gateway – PoE & Type-C USB

The McGrath G3 Gateway is a wired Ethernet bridge designed to connect compatible McGrath smart locks to a network infrastructure via RJ45 connection. It enables secure remote management through the McGrath Locks App.

This is not a lock. The G3 does not provide mechanical security or store user credentials independently. It acts as a communication bridge between Bluetooth-enabled McGrath devices and your Ethernet network.

The G3 supports both Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and Type-C USB power input, making it suitable for commercial installations where structured cabling and PoE switching are available.

How the G3 Gateway Works
The G3 connects directly to your network via RJ45 Ethernet and communicates with compatible McGrath locks using Bluetooth. When a remote command is issued in the McGrath Locks App, the instruction travels via the internet to the gateway. The gateway then transmits that command locally to the lock via Bluetooth.

The gateway does not perform locking functions itself. It acts purely as a secure communication bridge between your network and the lock.
