BDS Scar Plate Lockset Combo 60/70mm Backset (130mm X 85mm 60/70 Backset 55mm Hole) (Box of 1)
The BDS 09351450 is a satin stainless steel scar plate made to suit Brava Urban and Lockwood 530 and 930 series locksets. It covers an oversized hole, scarring or the preparation left by a previous lock, and its 55mm lockset hole is offset so the one plate suits either of the two most common Australian backsets, 60mm or 70mm.
It comes as a single plate. It is not suitable for Brava Metro locksets, and for the Lockwood 530 digital keypad lock the plate BDS makes is the 09351112.
Key Features
- Offset lockset hole: the same plate suits both of the common backset sizes, depending on which way round it goes on the door
- Made to suit Brava Urban and Lockwood 530 and 930 series locksets
- Covers oversized holes, old bores and scarring from a previous lock, so the new lockset sits on a tidy door face (see when you need a scar plate)
- Stainless steel with a satin finish (see scar plate materials and finishes)
What's in the Box
- Satin stainless steel scar plate x1
Pairs with a Brava Urban lockset or a Lockwood 530 or 930 series lockset. One plate covers one face of the door, so order two if both faces need covering (the frequently asked questions in our scar plate guide cover single plates and pairs).
Suitable Uses
- Replacing or upgrading a Brava Urban lockset, or a Lockwood 530 or 930 series lockset, at a 60mm or 70mm backset

Frequently Asked Questions
The hole is offset. Its centre sits 60mm from one end of the plate and 70mm from the other, so fitted with the 60mm end at the door edge it lines up with a 60mm backset, and turned end for end it lines up with a 70mm backset. Those are the two most common backsets on Australian doors.
Brava Urban locksets and Lockwood 530 and 930 series locksets, at a 60mm or 70mm backset. It is not suitable for Brava Metro locksets. The 530 series tubular deadlatches we stock at those backsets are the 530-12SC (60mm) and the 530-222SC (70mm). The compatibility table sets it out range by range.
The plate measures 85mm x 130mm and is 1.2mm thick, with a 55mm lockset hole. Before ordering, check that the old holes and marks on your door fall inside that outline. Our guide to why scar plate size and shape matter covers outer size and cut-outs.
Use the BDS 09351112: it is the plate BDS makes to suit the Lockwood 530 digital, 180mm x 65mm in stainless steel. This 09351450 is made for Brava Urban and Lockwood 530 and 930 series locksets.
Measure from the edge of the door to the centre of the lockset hole. A 60mm or 70mm reading suits this plate. Our step-by-step guide on how to measure your backset, the backset section of Measuring Your Door and its latch and bolt (cylindrical) diagram show where to measure. If your door measures something else, our free Qualified Locksmith Recommendation service can help.
Additional Information
- Check the backset first: a wrong backset or latch kit is one of the most common installation mistakes, and this plate is made for a 60mm or 70mm backset. See what happens when the backset is wrong.
- Rebated doors: on a rebated door the latch needs a rebate kit. We stock the Brava Urban rebate kit (BREE034MB), whose frequently asked questions cover rebate kits and latch types, and the Lockwood 530 series rebate kit (530-9SC). See all rebate kits and strikes.
- Exterior doors: the plate is stainless steel. Our guide to scar plate materials and finishes covers stainless steel and the alternatives on exterior and coastal doors.
- Fire doors: BDS doesn't list a fire rating for this plate. Read scar plates on fire doors before fitting any plate to a fire door.
- Not sure what you have? Our free Qualified Locksmith Recommendation service can help identify your existing lockset, and our door measuring chapter explains existing door hardware and bored cylindrical versus mortice door prep. If the door needs more work than a cover plate, see our advice and installation service.
