FORGE Weather Cover for H1 Outdoor Gate Smart Lock - Galvanised Steel
The FORGE Weather Cover for H1 (FEH1CV) is a matt black, galvanised steel rain hood that fits above the handle of a FORGE H1 outdoor gate smart lock and is sealed to the gate with silicone. It sheds rain off the keypad and fingerprint reader - the H1 is rated IP65, and FORGE recommends shelter or a cover where the gate takes the weather.
It is sold singly: one cover protects one side, so a gate exposed on both sides needs two. FORGE makes it for its H1 series, and it is also the weather-protection cover FORGE offers with its H1S, H10D and H10S gate locks. Made for FORGE, an Australian brand based in Ringwood, Victoria.
Usually ships in 24 hours.

Installation
- Fit the lock first, then offer the cover up above the handle so it shades the keypad and fingerprint reader.
- Clean and dry the gate surface, run a bead of exterior-grade silicone along the cover's contact edges and press it into place.
- Let the silicone cure before the cover takes rain.
- On a double-sided gate exposed on both sides, repeat on the inside handle with a second cover.
FORGE's H1 manual recommends a rain hood where the lock is exposed - see the non-warranty disclaimer on page 22.
Frequently Asked Questions
FORGE rates the H1 IP65 on both panels and strongly recommends some weather shelter; its rating does not cover driving rain, hail, salt spray or immersion. On a gate that takes rain from above, a cover is the simple fix (IP ratings explained).
One per exposed side. FORGE sells the cover singly, so a double-sided gate that takes the weather on both sides needs two.
Yes. FORGE makes it for its H1 series and offers it as the weather-protection cover for the H1S, H10D and H10S as well - one per exposed side.
FORGE's instruction is to fix it above the lock with silicone; it names no screws or drilling.
Additional Information
- Not the glass-door H1. This cover is for FORGE's H1 outdoor gate lock, not the H1 frameless glass-door handle lock.
- A cover helps but does not change the rating. The lock's own IP rating and FORGE's weather disclaimer still apply.
- Fully exposed gate? FORGE suggests at least an IP66 model for fully exposed sites - see the H10D or the IP68 H100.
