The HID Mounting Plate to suit R10 / RP10 Mullion Reader (MDP00354) is the black mounting plate for HID's iCLASS SE R10 and multiCLASS SE RP10 mini mullion readers. The plate fixes to the frame, wall or junction box and the reader fastens onto it. It is the part to order when a plate has been lost or damaged, or left behind when a reader was moved.
It is sized for the R10 and RP10 only - the R10 is 48 mm wide and 103 mm long. The longer HID iCLASS SE R15 takes a different plate, and so do HID's wall switch size readers. The family table lists them.
Usually ships same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excludes weekends and Queensland public holidays).

HID doesn't itemise any fixings with the plate. The screws that came with your reader are the ones to use - a pair for an imperial junction box, a pair for a metric one, two longer screws for a bare wall or frame, and the screw that holds the reader to the plate - so keep them when you change plates.

HID iCLASS SE Gasket Kits and Mounting Plates
HID makes a separate gasket kit and a separate mounting plate for each iCLASS SE reader body. These are HID's part numbers, with the two we list.
Choose by reader model - the parts do not interchange. If you are not sure which reader you have, send us a photo and we will confirm it before you order. HID's part numbers are from its readers and credentials ordering guide (pages 22 and 23).
Full Specifications
Fitting the Plate
- Take the reader off its existing plate. Power it down, undo the screw that holds it - the anti-tamper version needs HID's 04-0001-03 security tool - and lift the reader away.
- Fix the new plate to the junction box or frame with the screws supplied with the reader: the 0.138-32 pair for an imperial junction box, the M3.5 x 12 mm pair for a metric one, or the two 1.5 inch screws straight into the surface.
- Refit the reader - line up the top of the reader with the top of the plate, then the bottom, and refit the screw.
- Power up and test. The reader beeps and its LED flashes at power-up, and again when you present a card.
- Plan for the wiring. HID's fitting order is plate, then wiring, then reader, so on a working door the reader may have to be disconnected before the old plate comes away.
- Taking the reader off its plate can trip the reader's optical tamper output. Let whoever monitors the system know before you start.
- On or near metal - including a metal junction box - HID recommends a reader spacer for the best read range. Contact us for the R10 spacer.
- The reader is static sensitive - handle it as you would any electronic board.

We list the plate on its own, and HID doesn't itemise any fixings with it. The screws that came with your reader are the ones to use, so keep them when you swap plates.
Plan on disconnecting it. HID's fitting order is plate first, then wiring, then reader, so on a working door the reader may have to come off its cable before the old plate will come away. Power the reader down first. See Fitting the Plate.

- One part, two ways of writing it. HID writes this plate as MDP-00354. We list it as MDP00354. They are the same part.
- Warranty on this part. HID covers iCLASS SE reader accessories for two years, as the warranty box below sets out - the lifetime cover there is for readers and credentials. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply as well.

Warranty Summary
Understanding "Lifetime" Cover
HID's published policy uses the term "Lifetime Warranty Period" without defining it further - it is not stated as a fixed number of years, "for the life of the product", or "as long as you own it". It applies for as long as HID continues to honour that stated period under its published policy.
How to Make a Claim
- Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries with your proof of original purchase and a description of the fault.
- Where a claim needs to be escalated, HID requires written notice from the end customer within the applicable warranty period - we handle this notification on your behalf.
- HID's remedy, at its own option, is to repair the product, replace it, or issue a credit towards a future purchase.
- Postage, insurance and shipping costs to present hardware for warranty assessment are the end customer's responsibility under HID's policy - we'll advise what's needed before anything is sent.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover, and will be voided by, any of the following:
- Installation by anyone other than HID or an HID-authorised installer
- Use other than as authorised in HID's own documentation
- Modification, alteration or repair by a party other than HID
- Combination with hardware, operating systems or tools not provided by HID
- Accident, neglect, misuse or negligence
- Upgrades, evaluation units and demonstration units
- Consumables - batteries, paper, pads, cleaning solution, towels, cartridges and cables

This manufacturer warranty applies in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
