Vault Lumina Smart Lock for Frameless Glass Sliding Doors
The Vault Lumina is a smart lock designed specifically for frameless glass doors. It is a compact lock with an inbuilt hook bolt mechanism, suited to residential and office entries where clean glass-door aesthetics matter.
Lumina opens by fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card or fob, Bluetooth from the Vault Smart Locks app, and a backup mechanical key, with optional remote access when paired with the Vault G5 Gateway. Its slim body complements frameless glass entryways while still providing managed digital access.
Because frameless glass doors vary in preparation and fitting details, compatibility should be confirmed before ordering. For framed narrow-stile sliding doors, see the Vault Eclipse or the Vault Sliding Hook Mortice.
Estimated warehouse dispatch is 3 business days.
Key Features
- Smart lock designed specifically for frameless glass doors.
- Inbuilt hook bolt mechanism for glass-door locking (not a standard mortice).
- Access by fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card or fob, Bluetooth app unlock, and backup mechanical key.
- Optional remote access via the Vault G5 Gateway.
- Compact, slim body for modern glass entryways.
- IP55 weather-rated external module.
- Powered by 4 x AA batteries (not included).
Lumina is intended for frameless glass doors and uses an inbuilt hook bolt rather than a standard door mortice. Because frameless glass hardware requirements vary, compatibility should be confirmed before ordering, especially where existing fittings or clearances differ from standard installations.
The external (outside) module is IP55 weather rated, protected against limited dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, which supports everyday exposed use where the installation is appropriate. See the IP ratings guide, and for salt-air positions our notes on coastal environments.

Battery, Power and Backup Access
Lumina is powered by 4 x AA batteries (not included). Use new alkaline batteries and avoid mixing new and old cells. Replace the batteries promptly when the lock signals a low battery.
Lumina includes a backup mechanical key for entry if the batteries are depleted or electronic access is unavailable. Keep a spare key off-site rather than inside the door it opens. See where the keyhole is and what to do when the battery dies.
Suitable Uses

- Retail, studio and reception glass doors wanting a clean look
- Installations where an inbuilt hook bolt suits the glass-door hardware
- Spaces wanting fingerprint, PIN, card and app access on a glass door
- Covered entries where the external module gets weather protection

Wi-Fi Remote Access (Optional)
Lumina is controlled over Bluetooth from the Vault Smart Locks app, available on iOS
and Android
. Bluetooth control works when you are near the door and needs no internet connection.
Adding the optional Vault G5 Gateway bridges the lock to your home Wi-Fi so you can unlock remotely, issue and revoke passcodes from anywhere, and view unlock history. For how a gateway works and whether you need one, see what a gateway does and the note on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and band steering, or the blog on whether you need a gateway at all.
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Frameless glass hardware varies, so sending photos of your door before purchase is recommended to confirm fit.
Additional Information
Lumina is one of the few Vault models specifically positioned for frameless glass doors rather than aluminium or timber joinery, so its slim profile helps maintain a clean visual look on glass installations.
Because Lumina uses an inbuilt hook bolt, it should not be treated like a standard hinged-door mortice smart lock. For hinged-door options, see the mortice-lock range in Chapter 01 - mortice locks.
Glass-door hardware requirements vary, so fitment should always be checked before ordering. On the Gold Coast we offer a measure and install service. See the full Vault range guide and the Vault brand profile.

Important Notes
Where a Vault product carries an Ingress Protection (IP) rating, that rating is stated on the individual product listing, packaging or technical documentation. Unless stated otherwise in writing, the IP rating applies only to the external-facing side of the lock - not to the internal assembly, handle, battery compartment, electronics, cables or connectors. The internal side must be installed in a dry, sheltered position. An IP rating describes water resistance, not waterproofing: the lock must not be submerged, pressure washed, or exposed beyond its stated rating, and all seals, gaskets and covers must be correctly fitted and undamaged.
Vault's manufacturer policy applies a warranty assessment holding fee, which is refundable if the fault is found to be covered under warranty. If a product is assessed as outside warranty or damaged by an excluded cause, a discounted replacement may be offered. We will confirm any applicable fees and options with you before any assessment proceeds.
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
