The Aperio AH100-005 is the genuine ASSA ABLOY DDA grip for the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle. ASSA ABLOY catalogues it as the H100 DDA Grip for Disability Access - a larger, easier-to-grasp handle profile for buildings where door hardware needs to be operable by people with limited hand strength or dexterity.
It is a mechanical grip only. The H100 keeps its reader, radio and CR123A battery inside the outer part of the handle, so fitting the DDA grip changes how the handle is held, not how it is credentialled.
This is a component for the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle. It contains no reader, no radio, no battery and no locking mechanism, and it will not operate a door on its own.
