The lock body sits on the face of the gate post and two telescopic through-bolt fixings pass right through the post, clamping the unit firmly from both sides - a front collar and sleeve assembly on the outer keypad side, and a rear collar fitted from the post's rear side. Standard fixings suit square posts from 30mm to 60mm. My gate is hinged on the other side - is handing a problem?
No. The lock is easily reversible on site to suit either hand of gate, and the latch can be flipped to suit the swing direction. Do the reversal at the bench before mounting - the steps are in the BL3100-BL3400 installation instructions (PDF).
