The kit takes a Borg 5000 Series keypad-only unit. What This Kit Converts and the Keypads It Takes
BL50013582K converts a Lockwood 3582 mortice lock on an outward-opening door and takes Borg 5000 Series keypads: the first table lists the lock, the 5000 Series keypad-only units and the complete Borg 5000 Series locks in the same keypad family. If you choose the Easicode Pro (ECP) keypad, ask us to confirm it with this kit before you order. The second table is the replace-the-lock route, shown with a Borg 2000 Series lock supplied with the 28mm Ali-Latch.

A Borg 5000 Series keypad-only unit. Borg offers its BL5000KSC / BL5000KSS lever keypad (satin chrome or satin stainless steel) alongside this kit, and you will also find the external grade BL5000KMG and the BL5401KSSDDA and BL5401KSSDDAECP flat bar lever keypads in the compatibility table. It is a single-keypad kit: the back-to-back (BTB) kits, with a Borg keypad on each side of the door, are BL50013572KBTB (Lockwood 3572, 5000 Series keypads) and BL3582KITBTB (Lockwood 3582, 2000 and 4000 Series keypads) - ask us before planning 5000 Series keypads on both sides of a 3582 door.
No - BL50013582K is the Lockwood 3582 kit. For a Lockwood 3572 with Borg 5000 Series keypads, order BL50013572K instead. If you are not sure which lock is in the door, identify your existing hardware first or ask us; every kit is side by side in the item code family table.
The key override conversions in this family are the two key override (KOR) plates: 09351500 for the Lockwood 3582 and 09351550 for the 3572. Both are sold for Borg 2000 and 4000 Series keypads, so if your 3582 door needs key override with a 5000 Series keypad, talk to us before ordering. Thicker doors take the extended BLMORTSPDL120 spindle rather than the standard BLMORTSPDL. Measure your door as shown in Chapter 02: door thickness and ask us to confirm which spindle your door needs before you order.

- Converting keeps the lock you have: an adaptor kit is part of the retrofit ecosystem - a Borg keypad on the Lockwood mortice lock already in the door, with spare parts support behind it.
- Choose the keypad for the code changes you expect: the code is set in the keypad, not the kit. The Easicode Pro (ECP) keypad in the compatibility table, BL5401KSSDDAECP, changes on the door, while the non-ECP 5000 Series keypads change On The Bench. If you expect to re-code, even once a year, choose ECP - what ECP means.
- Three checks before ordering: confirm the lock is a Lockwood 3582 (existing hardware), that the door opens outward (handing) and how thick the door is (door thickness) - all three are in Chapter 02.
- Have it fitted if in doubt: spindle position and door alignment are two of the common fitting mistakes (spindle, misalignment); see when DIY is appropriate, or use our advice and installation service - Terry's also offers professional supply and installation on the Gold Coast.
- Replacing the 3582 instead: if you would rather replace the lock than convert it, the BDS FPBLS27CONV face plate lets a Borg lock supplied with the 28mm Ali-Latch, such as BL2002SC, fill the 3582 cut-out - a Borg 2000 Series route rather than the 5000 Series keypads this kit takes.
Warranty
All Borg locks are warranted against mechanical defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a minimum of 12 months from date of sale. The warranty does not cover damage arising from misuse, vandalism, or improper installation. The lock must not be dismantled - doing so will invalidate the warranty. Proof of purchase required for all claims.

Borg products sold in Australia are covered against mechanical defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Warranty claims are handled by Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries.

How to Make a Claim
- Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd first if you purchased through us or one of its associated trading names - we will assess the issue and manage the warranty process with LSC on your behalf. You do not need to contact LSC or Borg Locks UK directly.
- Have your proof of purchase ready (receipt or order confirmation).
- Warranty claims for Borg products in Australia are processed through LSC, the authorised Australian importer and distributor. Where an item is returned to LSC, freight charges must be prepaid and the item returned within the warranty period.
- If LSC finds the returned item to be defective, it will be repaired or replaced, and a detailed assessment report is provided to the customer after examination.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
