Lockwood 530DXSC/PADSX2 Mechanical Digital Entrance Set with Dual Keypads
The Lockwood 530DXSC/PADSX2 is a fully mechanical digital entrance set with a keypad on each side of the door. It is designed for commercial access control where battery-free operation and simple coded entry are preferred over electronic locking.
This version is the dual keypad configuration of the 530 DX platform. It allows coded entry from both sides of the door while retaining the same mechanical operating principle as the standard single keypad 530 DX entrance set.
It is not a smart lock. There is no app, no remote access, no audit trail and no battery maintenance. Code changes are manual and are carried out internally using the supplied code change kit.

Fire Door Compliance
The Lockwood 530DXSC/PADSX2 sits within the 530 Digital DX Entrance Set range, which has published fire test history of up to 2 hours on fire door assemblies when fitted excluding the rubber gasket. That makes it one of the stronger mechanical keypad options for projects where fire door compatibility matters.
As with all fire door hardware, compliance depends on the complete tested doorset, including the door, frame, latch preparation, strike arrangement and installation method. The key point is that this product comes from a Lockwood DX family with clear documented fire door relevance.

Additional Information
- Mechanical Access Control:
This is a battery-free mechanical keypad lockset, not a smart lock. There is no app control, remote access or audit trail. - Dual Keypad Configuration:
The second keypad allows coded operation from the opposite side of the door, but it does not create separate user permissions or multiple code storage. - Code Management:
Best suited to sites where a single shared code is acceptable and code changes are only required occasionally. - Installation Accuracy:
Correct latch alignment, spindle length and door preparation are important for smooth operation and reliable code entry. - Fire Door Context:
The Lockwood 530 Digital DX Entrance Set has published fire door relevance, but compliance depends on the complete tested doorset and installation method. - Latch Options:
If the supplied 60 mm latch does not suit the door preparation, separate 70 mm and 127 mm latch kits are available within the 530 DX system. - Commercial Positioning:
This product suits commercial and shared-access applications where simple mechanical reliability is preferred over electronic locking features.
