Lockton E-Series RFID Key Fob - Black
The Lockton E-Series RFID Key Fob (RFID-FOB-BLK) is an additional contactless access credential for compatible Lockton E-Series smart locks. It is designed for households and workplaces that need to hand out extra credentials without sharing a PIN code or app access - a simple, tap-to-enter option for family members, staff, cleaners, or temporary personnel.
The fob communicates with the lock over a 13.56MHz radio frequency and holds no battery and no internal electronics that require charging or setup. Enrolment happens entirely on the lock side: new and additional fobs are programmed in through the TTLOCK app, and a lost or reassigned fob can be deleted from the same app at any time.
Because it is a passive credential, the fob works only as part of a host lock that supports RFID entry. It suits the Lockton ELEV36 hinged and sliding door leversets and the Lockton Cadell52 fire-rated smart locks. For a plain-English explanation of how RFID entry compares with PIN, fingerprint, and app access, see Chapter 03 - Access Methods (RFID) in the Smart Lock Buyer's Guide.
Typically delivered within 2 to 5 business days of order placement.
The fob draws power from the lock's reader field when tapped, so there is nothing to charge or replace. It has no battery and no internal components that can go flat.

Frequently Asked Questions
It works with Lockton E-Series locks that support RFID entry - the ELEV36 hinged door leverset, the ELEV36 sliding door leverset, and the Cadell52 fire-rated smart locks in 60mm and 95mm mortice. It is a passive credential and will not operate a lock on its own.
No. The fob is battery-free. It draws power from the lock's reader field only at the moment you tap it, so there is nothing to charge, replace, or maintain.
New and additional fobs are enrolled through the TTLOCK app connected to your lock. The lock stores the credential, not the fob. For general guidance on managing credentials in the app - including erasing a code or credential you no longer want - see TTLock Tips and Tricks.
Because the credential lives in the lock, a lost fob is handled by deleting it in the app. Once removed, the missing fob no longer opens the door, and you can enrol a replacement. This is one of the main advantages of an issuable, revocable credential over a cut metal key.
This fob is supplied by Lockton for use with E-Series locks and is the credential we recommend for guaranteed compatibility. The fob meets the ISO/IEC 14443-A standard; some third-party 13.56MHz credentials may enrol, but they are not manufacturer-confirmed and behaviour can vary. If in doubt, use the Lockton fob.
Additional Information
The fob does not contain a lock mechanism or any decision-making electronics. It simply presents a unique ID to the reader; the host lock decides whether that ID is authorised. This is why the fob must be paired to a lock before it will do anything, and why a lost fob is cancelled at the lock rather than at the fob. For where RFID sits among the E-Series access methods, see Chapter 03 - Access Methods (RFID) and Chapter 14 - TTLock Platform Guide (Other Credentials).
If your lock's internal Secure Lock (privacy snib) is engaged from inside, it deliberately blocks external credentials - including this fob - until it is released. This is expected behaviour, not a fault. If someone with a valid fob cannot get in, check whether Secure Lock is on. See The Perils of the Internal Snib - what Secure Lock disables.
Fobs are sold individually - order one per credential holder. If you are fitting out a full door and want the other E-Series parts in one go, Terry's also stocks the matching E-Series turn knobs and the E-Series rebate kit for the ELEV36 range.

Lockton Warranty
Lockton Security products are designed and manufactured to high standards of quality, durability, and performance. All Lockton branded products come with guarantees in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, and additional warranties are offered as detailed below.
Warranty Summary
Warranty periods run from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for all claims.
How to Make a Claim
Lockton products are sold exclusively through trade channels. End-users who have received a Lockton product via an installer or trade supplier should contact their installer in the first instance — the trade supplier will liaise with Lockton Security to process the claim on your behalf.
To lodge a warranty claim through Terry’s Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries (including Gold Coast Smart Locks), please follow these steps:
- Contact us with details of the defect and, where possible, installation images.
- Supply your proof of purchase (invoice number or receipt).
- Provide contact details for claim updates.
- A Goods Return Number (GRN) will be obtained from Lockton Security on your behalf.
- Package the product securely, include the GRN, and return it as directed. Products returned without a GRN may not be accepted.
Once a correctly submitted claim is assessed by Lockton Security and approved, they will at their own cost and discretion either: repair and return the product; provide a replacement or similar product; supply refurbished goods of equivalent type and quality (covered under the remaining warranty period); or refund the purchase price. If the claim is not approved, Lockton Security will advise in writing and the product will be returned at the customer’s expense, or recycled upon request.
Exclusions
The Lockton warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by improper use or incorrect product selection
- Improper installation
- Fair wear and tear
- Environmental conditions outside product specifications (e.g. coastal air, high humidity, or exposure to corrosive substances)
- Products that have been modified, repaired, or altered
- Use of non-genuine replacement parts or accessories
- Batteries (no warranty applies)
Important Notes
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The Lockton manufacturer warranty is offered in addition to, and does not limit, these statutory rights.
