FORGE A90 Push Pull Smart Lock - 3D Face, Video Doorbell, TTLock Wi-Fi
At A Glance
(Wi-Fi)
The FORGE A90 Push Pull Smart Lock is a fully automatic push pull mortice lock with 3D face recognition, fingerprint, PIN, card, app and key entry, and a video doorbell - a 1 MP camera outside and a 3.9-inch screen on the inside panel. Once you are recognised the motor releases the lock and you simply push or pull the door; it locks itself again when the door closes.
It runs on the TTLock app with Wi-Fi built in, so it joins your 2.4 GHz network directly - no gateway - for remote unlock, entry records and the doorbell camera. The 400 x 72 mm panels suit doors 40-110 mm thick, with a 60 mm backset mortice that depends on the finish: the gold FELKA90DGA comes with a roller mortice suited to pivot doors, the black FELKA90DBA with a latch mortice for hinged doors. A 5,000 mAh rechargeable battery runs it for about 5-10 months.
It is made in China for FORGE, an Australian brand based in Ringwood, Victoria, and carries FORGE's 2-year warranty.
Usually ships in 24 hours.

From the inside, use the automatic lock and unlock button or the manual turn knob.

TTLock App - Wi-Fi Built In
Set the lock up in the free TTLock app for iOS and Android ![]()
. Choose Australia as your location when you sign up, give the app full permissions and turn Bluetooth on - you add the lock over Bluetooth with your phone close by. Until the first administrator is added the lock is in its factory state, so pair it as soon as it is fitted. FORGE's TTLock pairing guide shows the steps, and the introduction pages of the manual cover the same ground for this model.
FORGE states the A90 connects directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and needs no separate TTLock gateway. Over Wi-Fi you can unlock remotely, manage codes, fingerprints, faces, cards and eKeys, check entry records and use the video doorbell from anywhere. Remote Unlock has to be switched on for the lock in the app, with Power Saving Mode off (manual page 24).
TTLock is one of the two global smart lock platforms - how it compares with Tuya is set out in our TTLock vs Tuya comparison, and the wider TTLock range in Chapter 14 - the TTLock hardware ecosystem. The app itself is covered in the TTLock app user manual.

Video Doorbell and Indoor Screen
The outside panel carries a 1 MP camera (field of view 105 degrees horizontal, 90 vertical, 120 diagonal) that does double duty for face recognition and the doorbell. Inside, a 3.9-inch, 480 x 800 LCD on the panel shows who is there - press the camera activation button to look. When someone rings, the TTLock app can show you the camera and unlock the door from wherever you are (manual page 24; manual page 6).
Key Features
- Fully automatic push pull operation - after you are recognised the motor releases the lock, you push or pull the door, and it locks itself again when the door closes.
- 3D face recognition, fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, the TTLock app and a mechanical key - up to 50 faces, 200 fingerprints, 150 codes and 200 cards; compare the methods in Chapter 03.
- Video doorbell: a 1 MP camera outside and a 3.9-inch LCD on the inside panel, with remote viewing and unlocking in the TTLock app.
- TTLock with Wi-Fi built in - remote unlock and management from anywhere without a gateway.
- Tempered glass touch keypad on a 400 x 72 mm panel; concealed fingerprint reader.
- 60 mm backset mortice set by the finish - roller mortice with the gold A90G (suited to pivot doors), latch mortice with a reversible latch with the black A90B (hinged doors).
- Automatic lock and unlock button and manual turn knob on the inside panel.
- 5,000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery rated by FORGE at about 5-10 months, a low-battery alert and a 5 V USB-C emergency port - what happens when the battery dies.
- Passage Mode in the TTLock app (what passage mode does); time-limited, one-time, permanent and recurring codes, eKeys and a Forced Fingerprint duress alarm.
- IP65 on the outside panel; after five wrong attempts in a row the keypad locks for 90 seconds.
- Suits doors with vertical push pull handles and pivot doors - one of our app-enabled smart locks.

Suitable Uses
- Entry doors with vertical push pull handles, including pivot doors with the gold A90G's roller mortice (smart locks on push pull doors).
- Hinged entry doors 40-110 mm thick with the black A90B's latch mortice.
- Homes that want a video doorbell and remote unlock in the lock itself, without a gateway.
- Households who come home with full hands - face recognition opens the door without touching it.
- Rentals managed in TTLock - codes that expire on their own and remote unlock over Wi-Fi (short-stay platforms in our platform guide).
- Doors thinner than 40 mm or thicker than 110 mm.
- Narrow aluminium-framed doors - the 72 mm panel on a 60 mm backset needs room beside the glass. FORGE's slimline S3 is made for aluminium frames.
- Fully exposed doors - the outside panel is IP65 for general outdoor conditions; FORGE recommends shelter or a rain hood where the door takes the weather.
- Fire-rated doors - FORGE does not quote a fire rating for the A90.
- Anyone who needs a different mortice from the one the finish brings - the gold A90G has the roller mortice and the black A90B the latch mortice.

Door Fit, Mortice by Finish
The A90's mortice is not chosen separately - the finish decides it. The gold FELKA90DGA comes with a roller mortice, which FORGE recommends for pivot doors and other push pull doors where a sprung latch is not wanted; the black FELKA90DBA comes with a 60 mm latch mortice for hinged entry doors, with a latch that reverses to suit the closing direction. Both have a 60 mm backset and suit doors 40-110 mm thick - how to measure backset.
- Which mortice you need - a roller mortice holds a pivot door closed without a sprung latch; a latch mortice suits a conventional hinged door. The finish you choose brings the matching mortice.
- Door thickness - 40-110 mm.
- Backset - 60 mm on both mortices, with 68 mm between the spindle and the cylinder. Measure from the door edge to where the lock will sit.
- An existing mortice cut-out - compare it with the drawings below: 90 x 160 x 15 mm (roller) or 90 x 178 x 18.5 mm (latch).
- Mounting height - FORGE recommends about 1.1 m to the keyhole so the camera sees most adults (manual page 8).
- Before ordering - send us photos of the door edge and the existing hardware and we will check the mortice with you.

FORGE Push Pull Smart Locks
This product is in bold. Capacities: the A90 stores up to 50 faces, 200 fingerprints, 150 passcodes and 200 cards; the S3 50 faces (palms too on the S3A), 100 fingerprints, 200 passcodes and 200 cards; FORGE does not publish the HDS1's capacities. All four lock themselves when the door closes and run on a rechargeable battery.
Accessories and Spares
The A90 needs no gateway - its Wi-Fi is built in. More cards and fobs are in the RFID credentials range.
Battery and Emergency Power
The A90 runs on a 5,000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery, which FORGE rates at about 5-10 months depending on use, Wi-Fi and conditions. A low-battery alert warns you with roughly 50 to 100 unlocks left. To recharge, remove the inside screen module and lift out the battery, then charge it through its own USB port (manual page 25). If it does go flat, connect 5 V power to the USB-C port next to the keyhole with a USB-A to USB-C cable and unlock normally (manual page 26), or use the mechanical key. Turning the radar sensitivity down saves battery. More on what really affects battery life and power and battery FAQs.

Weather Rating - IP65 Outside Panel
FORGE rates the A90's outside panel IP65 for general outdoor conditions - rain, sun and dust - on outward-facing entry doors. It is not designed for driving rain, hail, salt spray, flooding or immersion, and FORGE recommends a rain hood or shelter where the door takes the weather. Water ingress beyond IP65 is not covered by the warranty (non-warranty disclaimer). On the coast, read coastal environments and what corrosion grades mean.

Dimensions
Check the door thickness (40-110 mm) and the mortice drawings in Door Fit before ordering. FORGE's dimension sheet is also in the PDF downloads.

Platform and Data
Platform. The A90 runs on TTLock with Wi-Fi built in - it joins your 2.4 GHz network directly, with no gateway. FORGE offers no gateway add-on for it.
Where your data goes. TTLock is run by Sciener, a Chinese company. Accounts outside China use TTLock's out-of-China servers; where that infrastructure is hosted, and which region Australian accounts use, is not published - in short, a Chinese company's servers, location unpublished. For the platform-by-platform picture see where each smart lock platform hosts its data, and for TTLock's security record see Chapter 14 - TTLock security.
Installation
The A90 fits a 60 mm backset mortice into the door edge and clamps the outside and inside panels together through the door on threaded sleeves, with the cables running between them. FORGE's template is a reference to adjust for offsets, and the installation section of the manual runs through each step with drawings.
- Mark out from the template with the keyhole about 1.1 m above the floor - the height FORGE recommends for face recognition (manual page 8).
- On the black A90B, set the latch to face the closing direction before fitting - latch on top, deadbolt below. Skip this step for the gold A90G's roller mortice (manual page 9).
- Fit the outside panel with the anti-tamper switch on a flat part of the door, the deadbolts retracted and the spindle horizontal (manual page 11).
- Remove the screen module and inside base bracket, then fit the bracket, cut the spindle to the door thickness by its markings and connect the cables before fixing the inside panel (manual page 12 and manual page 13; the spindle mistake in Chapter 12).
- Fit the fully charged battery and the screen module. Then check the turn knob throws the latch, the key unlocks from outside and the spindle is the right length - keep the keys outside the premises while you test (manual page 15).
- Not sure about doing it yourself? See when to DIY and when to call an installer - Terry's offers installation across the Gold Coast.
Which way a door is handed is explained in how to tell which way your door or gate opens.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. FORGE states the A90 has Wi-Fi built in and connects directly to a 2.4 GHz network for remote unlock, management and the video doorbell. FORGE offers no gateway add-on for it.
Choose by door as well as look: the gold A90G comes with a roller mortice, suited to pivot doors and push pull doors that should not have a sprung latch; the black A90B comes with a 60 mm latch mortice for hinged doors.
A visitor presses the doorbell button. You see them on the 3.9-inch screen inside, or on the camera in the TTLock app wherever you are, and can unlock the door remotely.
Remove the inside screen module, lift out the 5,000 mAh battery and charge it through its USB port; FORGE rates a charge at about 5-10 months (manual page 25).
Check a door 40-110 mm thick, room for the 400 x 72 mm panels, and the mortice for your finish. Send us photos of the door edge and existing hardware if you are unsure.
Additional Information
- Register an administrator straight away. Until the first administrator is added in the app, the lock is in its factory state with the default code 123456. A factory reset puts it back into that state.
- The finish decides the mortice. Gold brings the roller mortice, black the latch mortice - choose the one that suits the door.
- It locks behind you. The A90 re-locks itself when the door closes - carry a credential every time you step out.
- Mount it at the right height. FORGE recommends about 1.1 m to the keyhole so the camera reads faces reliably.
- Keep the mechanical keys away from the door - in the house or the car - so they are there if the battery fails (key storage ideas).
Warranty
2-year FORGE warranty from the date of delivery - covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Excludes improper installation or maintenance, misuse, accident, normal wear and tear (including fading or dulling of finishes) and water damage beyond the product's rated IP protection. Proof of purchase required for all claims. Returns & Warranty | FORGE warranty terms

FORGE A90 Push Pull Smart Lock - FAQ, Setup and Owner's Guide
Everything below is here to help you choose, fit, set up and live with the FORGE A90. For general smart lock questions see our Smart Lock FAQ (Chapter 13), and for measuring and fitting the Buyer's Guide.
Choosing a FORGE Push Pull Lock
The A90 is the one with a video doorbell and Wi-Fi built in: 400 x 72 mm panels, a 60 mm mortice set by the finish, doors 40-110 mm. The HDS1 is a large D-handle push pull lock and the S3 a slimline lock for aluminium frames; both are sold with a choice of swing or sliding mortice backsets and use TTLock over Bluetooth with an optional gateway (the S3 also comes in a Forge Smart Wi-Fi version).
No - the gold A90G is supplied with a roller mortice, the black A90B with a latch mortice. FORGE positions the gold version for pivot doors and statement entrances.
Wi-Fi, Video Doorbell and Remote Access
A 2.4 GHz network - FORGE states it connects to a compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If your router combines 2.4 and 5 GHz under one name, you may need to separate them while pairing.
Yes. When the doorbell is pressed the TTLock app can show you the camera and unlock remotely, as long as the lock is on Wi-Fi.
Remote Unlock must be switched on for the lock in the app, with Power Saving Mode off, and the lock must be on Wi-Fi (manual page 24; fixes for Wi-Fi dropouts).
Yes - FORGE offers the FORGE TTLock Bluetooth remote as an add-on for the A90. It unlocks at close range without the app or a code.
Face Recognition
Register your face in the app standing 0.6-0.8 m from the lock, turning your head slowly when asked; it will not scan beyond 1.2 m. A proximity radar wakes the camera as you approach - its sensitivity is adjustable in the app, and a higher setting reaches further but uses much more battery. With the radar off, press 9# to start face recognition (manual page 20).
FORGE recommends about 1.1 m from the floor to the keyhole, and its detection diagram is drawn for that height (manual page 21).
Door Fit and Mortice
No - both A90 mortices have a 60 mm backset with 68 mm centres. The finish sets which mortice you get.
40-110 mm, per FORGE's specifications for both versions.
The roller mortice case is 90 x 160 x 15 mm with a 240 x 22 mm faceplate; the latch mortice case is 90 x 178 x 18.5 mm with a 240 x 24 mm faceplate.
Credentials and Access
Press the finger firmly on the sensor several times when prompted, moving it slightly each time so the lock captures different areas. Avoid wet fingers. Older people can have flatter fingerprints - register the same finger more than once. Children's fingerprints change as they grow, so update them every few months or give them a passcode.
A duress fingerprint. You register it like any other, but when it is used the administrator receives an alarm notification. It is meant for an emergency where someone is forcing you to open the door, not for daily use.
Four: time-limited, one-time (it must be used within 6 hours of being created), permanent and recurring. Time-limited, permanent and recurring codes must be used once within 24 hours of their start time or the lock suspends them. Codes are generated by the app and can be customised afterwards, 4 to 9 digits (manual page 18; Chapter 14 - passcode types).
MIFARE M1 cards - up to 200. Two come in the box, and extra FORGE MIFARE 1K cards are sold separately.
An eKey gives another TTLock account the right to unlock - time-limited, one-time, permanent or recurring - with options for remote unlock, an unlock link that works without the app, or near-administrator rights (TTLock eKeys).
After five wrong attempts in a row the lock ignores all input for 90 seconds. The keypad goes back to sleep after 20 seconds without use.
Power and Batteries
FORGE rates the 5,000 mAh battery at about 5-10 months, depending on use, Wi-Fi and conditions. A higher radar sensitivity uses more battery.
Connect 5 V power to the USB-C port next to the keyhole with a USB-A to USB-C cable and unlock normally (manual page 26). The mechanical key is the other backup.
Installation and Troubleshooting
Set the door opening direction in the TTLock app after adding the lock (manual page 17).
Remove the inside screen module, hold the reset button until the lock prompts, then enter 000# (manual page 25).
