The Lockwood 001Touch Plus Smart Deadlatch is a retrofit smart deadlatch that upgrades a standard 60mm-backset Lockwood deadlatch to keyless entry. Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (included). Only alkaline batteries are recommended; do not use rechargeable batteries.

Yale Home App, Home Module & Remote Access
The 001Touch Plus is connected by the Yale Home App through the included Home Network Module. With the module fitted and the lock paired, you gain local Bluetooth control, auto-unlock, auto-lock, the DoorSense position sensor, audit trail, and unlimited PIN codes and key tags. Remote access from anywhere - plus voice control through Google, Samsung, and Alexa - requires the separately sold Yale Connect Plus Wi-Fi Bridge, which connects the lock to your 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi. How far does the latch project into the frame?
The stainless steel deadlatch has an 18mm latch projection. A strike plate and a door frame strengthener are both in the box - worth fitting on an older jamb where the timber around the existing strike has worn. Can it go on an apartment entry door or a fire door?
Not on a fire door. The 001Touch Plus is not fire rated, and a lock on a fire-rated doorset has to be certified as part of that doorset - see AS1905.1 fire door hardware certification. Many Queensland apartment entry doors are fire doors, so check where fire doors are required and how to identify one, and read the one-penetration principle before adding hardware to an apartment door. For a fire-rated Lockwood electronic lock, look at the Cortex CTX530 or Cortex CTX3772.

What happens if someone keeps guessing codes?
After five incorrect PIN attempts the keypad locks out for three minutes, and the 001Touch Plus also carries a tamper alarm. What does the included Home Network Module add?
The module is what turns the 001Touch Plus into an app-connected lock. - Everbrass finishes: up to 25 years against corrosion, tarnishing and discolouration.
- Stainless steel, polished stainless steel, chrome plating and anodised finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- PVD and VIVID finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- Symmetry range finishes: typically up to 5 years.
- Decorative finishes (Antique Copper, Architectural Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Aged Brass, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and related variants): typically up to 2 years against corrosion.
- Unlacquered brass finishes naturally age and change appearance over time. This is not considered a defect.
- Tea staining of stainless steel is not covered where the required cleaning and maintenance have not been followed.
