Lockwood 002DX Mechanical Digital Keypad Deadlatch with Knob for Opening Outwards Doors
The Lockwood 002DX Digital DX Deadlatch provides a fully mechanical method of keyless entry, designed for commercial environments where secure access control is required without reliance on power or electronics.
This lock operates using a single programmable PIN code and is suited to open-in doors. It is commonly used in applications where frequent code changes are required to maintain security.
Unlike electronic locks, the Digital DX mechanism operates entirely mechanically, eliminating battery maintenance and wiring requirements while delivering consistent operation in high-use conditions.

Fire Door Compliance
The Lockwood 002-4KDXSC should not be described as automatically fire compliant in every installation. Any fire performance claim must relate to the complete tested doorset, including the door, frame, strike arrangement, latch preparation and installer compliance.
For Digital DX fire door applications, Lockwood service information states that the keypad must be fitted without the rubber mounting pad. That installation detail matters because small changes can affect the compliance of the finished doorset.
