Lockwood Integral USB Card Encoder - RFID MIFARE Access Management Programmer
The Lockwood Integral USB Card Encoder (ITGL910-ENCODER) is the desktop programming device used to issue and manage RFID credentials within the ASSA ABLOY Integral Wireless Access Control system. It plugs into a Windows computer and lets authorised administrators create, modify and cancel the access cards, fobs and wristbands used by Integral escutcheon locksets.
The encoder works with the ISO 14443A MIFARE® RFID credential platform used across the Integral system, and is how permissions are written onto each credential. Because Integral is a data-on-card system, this is the tool that turns a blank card into a working credential and updates or revokes it later.
Every Integral installation needs at least one encoder connected to the management software to issue credentials. It is a system-management device rather than a door lock - it programs the credentials that the Integral escutcheon locksets read at the door.
Usually ships in 3 business days
The encoder is the device that programs and issues Integral credentials. At least one is required per site; larger installations may run several so multiple administrators can issue cards at once. It is part of a wider commercial access-control system used in accommodation, commercial, education and healthcare facilities.

Frequently Asked Questions
It programs and manages the RFID cards, fobs and wristbands used within the ASSA ABLOY Integral access control system - issuing, modifying and cancelling credentials from a Windows PC.
Yes. It issues, modifies and cancels Integral user credentials, and can invalidate lost or stolen cards. It programs all card types except the special IC (system activation) card.
Integral system credentials using ISO 14443A MIFARE® technology at 13.56MHz. See Chapter 03 - Access Methods for how RFID credentials work.
No. The encoder connects via USB to a computer running the Integral management software. Integral is an offline, data-on-card system - no network to each door is required.
Yes. Audit-trail information collected from door locks can be read back when the relevant card is presented to the encoder.
At least one per site. Larger installations often run several so multiple administrators can issue credentials at the same time. Each client PC that issues cards needs its own encoder.
Additional Information
The Integral platform uses a data-on-card architecture: access permissions are written onto the RFID credential rather than held on a central server that each door must reach. That is what lets the wireless locksets run independently while still supporting large, centrally managed credential pools. The encoder is the point where those credentials are created and updated.
Each Integral installation needs at least one encoder connected to the management software to create and update user cards. Larger sites may operate multiple encoders so several administrators can issue credentials at once, and the system scales to thousands of doors and unlimited users - suiting accommodation facilities, commercial buildings and multi-site organisations.
The encoder issues the credentials read by the Integral locksets such as the escutcheon with key override (or the bundled version with the 3772 mortice lock), and by the wall-mounted reader at doors without an escutcheon. On-site lock configuration and audit collection is handled by the handheld NFC programmer.
