Vault Fortress Innovative Mortice
The Vault Innovative Mortice is engineered for swing-style doors and is the mortice body used with the Vault Fortress, Fortress Vision and Quantum push-pull smart locks. It allows standard latch operation, with an auto-locking sensor that, once pressed in, automatically engages the deadbolt for added security.
It suits both timber and aluminium doors, including projects where existing door preparation and fittings are already in place, making it a practical choice for retrofits as well as new installations.

Installation Notes
Select the appropriate backset based on the distance between the door edge and the handle position. This mortice uses an 85mm pitch, measured from the centre of the spindle to the centre of the cylinder, as shown in the product images.
Not sure which backset you need? The Measuring Your Door guide walks through how to measure backset before you order.
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. It suits both timber and aluminium swing doors, including doors with existing preparation and fittings.
An inbuilt sensor detects when the door is closed; once pressed in, it automatically engages the deadbolt for additional security.
Additional Information
This is the mortice body component for the Vault push-pull smart lock range, not a standalone lockset. It is chosen to match the door type, backset and lock centres of the installation. For hinged doors without the auto-locking sensor, the Vault Hinged / Swinging Mortice shares the same 85mm lock centres.

Important Notes
Where a Vault product carries an Ingress Protection (IP) rating, that rating is stated on the individual product listing, packaging or technical documentation. Unless stated otherwise in writing, the IP rating applies only to the external-facing side of the lock – not to the internal assembly, handle, battery compartment, electronics, cables or connectors. The internal side must be installed in a dry, sheltered position. An IP rating describes water resistance, not waterproofing: the lock must not be submerged, pressure washed, or exposed beyond its stated rating, and all seals, gaskets and covers must be correctly fitted and undamaged.
Vault’s manufacturer policy applies a warranty assessment holding fee, which is refundable if the fault is found to be covered under warranty. If a product is assessed as outside warranty or damaged by an excluded cause, a discounted replacement may be offered. We will confirm any applicable fees and options with you before any assessment proceeds.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
