The Aperio C100 wireless cylinder puts its main electronics in the knob, with the secure electronics inside the cylinder core. The same architecture appears in the P100 wireless padlock, which is a C100 cylinder in a padlock body - its radio certification rests on the C100 conformity certificate and its firmware updates use C100 firmware.
