Borg BL3430 MG Pro ECP Mechanical Digital Gate Lock – Back-to-Back Keypads – Marine Grade Pro – Easicode Pro – Black
The Borg BL3430 MG Pro ECP is a fully mechanical Marine Grade Pro digital gate lock with keypads on both sides and Easicode Pro on-gate code change. A PIN is required to operate the gate from either side. Marine Grade Pro: MG Pro black external coating tested to 1,000 hours of continuous salt spray.
The BL3430 MG Pro ECP uses the forend fixing system, clamping to the gate post with telescopic screws – no mortice cutting required. Suits gate profiles from 40mm to 60mm square (standard fixings), up to 120mm with the optional XL latchbolt. Fully mechanical, no batteries, anti-climb housing.
Usually same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and Qld public holidays)
These locks use a forend fixing system that clamps directly onto the gate post — no mortice cutting or door-edge drilling required. Designed for square aluminium or steel gate posts from 40–60mm. For profiles wider than 60mm, an optional XL latchbolt extension is available separately.
Finished in MG Pro black marine external grade coating with marine grade stainless steel internal components. Tested to 1,000 continuous hours of salt spray exposure.
Borg warrants corrosion resistance for 12 months from date of sale under specified conditions.
The PIN code can be changed while the lock is installed on the gate using the included code change key. No lock removal, no tools required.
Both sides of the gate have a full keypad. The same PIN code operates both keypads. Entering the code is required to enter and exit — there is no free egress from inside.
The inside keypad requires the correct PIN before the lever operates. Confirm this suits your application and complies with any applicable fire egress or building regulations before purchasing.
Entirely mechanical. No power source, no wiring, and no battery maintenance at any point.
Accepts one active PIN code at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the forend fixing system work?
The lock body sits on the face of the gate frame and clamps onto the gate post using telescopic fixing screws supplied. No drilling through the gate edge or mortice pocket is required. The latchbolt projects from the lock body and engages a strike on the gate post or adjacent frame. The latch projection is adjustable from 65mm to 80mm to suit different gate frame widths. For gate posts wider than 60mm, an optional XL latchbolt extension is available separately.
How do I change the PIN code with ECP?
With the gate open, enter the current code. Insert the code change key over the Φ button, rotate 90° clockwise and hold. Press C to clear, enter new digits, confirm all digits, then release and remove the key. Press C or rotate the lever to finalise. Test at least 5 times before closing the gate. The code is non-sequential — buttons can be pressed in any order.
My gate post is wider than 60mm — what do I do?
An optional XL latchbolt extension is available separately, extending the maximum gate post width to 120mm. Contact us or search "Borg XL latchbolt" to find the correct accessory for your gate profile. Always confirm the correct gate post width before ordering.
Is this lock suitable for a pool gate?
The lock's spring-loaded latch is self-latching on gate close, which aligns with pool safety self-latching requirements. However, confirm all pool gate safety compliance requirements with a licensed pool safety inspector before installation, as compliance encompasses more than just the lock (gate height, clearances, overall system). For the Queensland Pool Safety Standard specifically, confirm with your local inspector.
What is the difference between BL3430MGPROECP and BL3430GATE?
The BL3430MGPROECP has Easicode Pro on-gate code change and Marine Grade Pro construction. The BL3430GATE uses the tumbler system and standard marine grade. Choose MG Pro ECP for coastal BTB applications with regular on-site code management.
