Yes. The inside DDA lever is always free - no code, no key, no thought required to exit. Only the outside lever is code-controlled. The BL5401SSDDAECP has not been fire tested, so it is not for fire doors - however compliant the lever is. With the door open: (1) enter the existing code; (2) put the code change key over the code change button, turn it 90 degrees clockwise, press and hold; (3) press C to clear; (4) enter the new digits twice; (5) release the key, turn it back and remove it; (6) press C or turn the lever to set; (7) the new code is live; (8) test it at least five times before closing the door. If the new code fails, the old and new digits may have combined - enter both together and repeat from step 1. If the lever free-turns, the new code never set - repeat from step 2. The BL5401SSDDAECP comes with fixings for 35-54mm doors. For a thicker door, talk to us at order time about longer fixings and the spindle: the supplied 80mm and 90mm spindles cover the standard range, and at least 15mm of spindle must seat inside each handle.
