Lockton E-Series G2 Gateway - Wi-Fi Bridge for TTLock Smart Locks (2.4 GHz)
The Lockton E-Series G2 Gateway (G2-GATE) is an optional Wi-Fi bridge that connects a compatible Lockton E-Series smart lock to the internet. It lets you manage the lock remotely through the TTLOCK app from anywhere with a connection - changing PIN codes, adding fingerprints, issuing temporary passcodes, and reviewing the audit trail without being at the door.
The gateway sits between your lock and your home or office router. The lock talks to the gateway over Bluetooth, and the gateway relays those commands to the internet over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. A single gateway can serve up to 100 smart locks within range, making it suitable for both a single home and larger multi-door sites.
The gateway is optional. Without it, a Lockton E-Series lock still works fully as a standalone unit using its onboard access methods and local Bluetooth - the gateway only adds remote, over-the-internet management. For a plain-English explanation of what a gateway does and when you actually need one, see Chapter 08 - Gateway Comparison in the Smart Lock Buyer's Guide.
The G2 Gateway connects on the 2.4GHz band only - it does not use 5GHz. If your router merges both bands under one network name (band steering), the gateway can fail to connect or drop off. The usual fix is to give the 2.4GHz band its own network name during setup. See why smart locks drop off Wi-Fi and Chapter 08 - the band-steering problem before installing.
Key Features
- Adds remote, over-the-internet management to compatible Lockton E-Series smart locks via the TTLOCK app.
- Manage the lock from anywhere - change PIN codes, add fingerprints, create temporary passcodes, and review audit trails without being on site.
- One gateway serves up to 100 smart locks within Bluetooth range.
- Compact plug-in unit (70 x 70 x 26mm) powered by USB-C - no batteries and nothing to recharge.
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) with a Bluetooth signal range of 10 to 15 metres to each lock.
- Optional accessory - the lock remains fully functional on its own without the gateway.

Remote Access via the TTLOCK App
With the gateway paired, your Lockton E-Series lock is reachable through the TTLOCK app (available on iOS
and Android
) from anywhere with an internet connection. This unlocks remote passcode changes, remote fingerprint enrolment, one-time and time-limited passcodes, and audit-trail review - the management tasks that otherwise require you to be standing at the door within Bluetooth range.
Pairing is done from the lock's installation instructions - refer to your Smart Lock manual for the step-by-step procedure to link the gateway to the lock.
For a fuller picture of how Bluetooth-only versus gateway operation works on the TTLock platform, see Chapter 14 - Bluetooth vs Gateway, and for how the E-Series gateways compare across generations, see G2 vs G3 vs G4 vs G5 - Gateways Compared.
Compatible E-Series Smart Locks
The gateway must be positioned within Bluetooth range (10 to 15 metres) of each lock it manages. For placement guidance and how the gateway generations differ, see Chapter 08 - gateway placement.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The lock works fully on its own using its onboard access methods and local Bluetooth. The gateway is optional and only adds remote, over-the-internet management through the app. For when a gateway is worth adding, see do you need a gateway?
No - the G2 Gateway uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. If your router combines 2.4GHz and 5GHz under one network name, you may need to separate the bands so the gateway can find the 2.4GHz network. See why smart locks drop off Wi-Fi for setup help.
Up to 100 smart locks, provided each lock is within Bluetooth range (10 to 15 metres) of the gateway. For larger or spread-out sites, multiple gateways can be used to cover all doors.
Pairing is handled from the lock's own installation instructions using the TTLOCK app. Refer to your Smart Lock manual for the step-by-step procedure. The setup guide for the gateway is available in the PDF Files tab.
No. It is mains-powered through the supplied USB-C cable and charger block, so it stays on continuously to keep your lock reachable. There are no batteries to replace.
Additional Information
Because the gateway bridges the lock over Bluetooth (10 to 15 metres) and then out over Wi-Fi, it needs to sit within Bluetooth reach of the lock and within good Wi-Fi coverage of your router. Position it roughly between the two - a power point on the same or adjacent wall to the door usually works well. See Chapter 08 - gateway placement and improving Wi-Fi stability for guidance.
If you only manage the lock while you are at home or on site, you may not need a gateway at all - the lock's local Bluetooth handles proximity management directly from the app. The gateway earns its place when you need to change codes, review access, or hand out temporary passcodes while you are away. For the full comparison, see Chapter 14 - Bluetooth vs Gateway.
This gateway pairs naturally with the rest of the Lockton E-Series line. If you are fitting out a door, you may also want an extra E-Series RFID key fob for additional credentials, or the matching E-Series rebate kit for the ELEV36 mortice range.
The Lockton G2 Gateway carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty against defective materials and workmanship. It sits within Lockton's tiered warranty structure (up to 10 years on mechanical locks; 3 years on smart locks; 1 year on key accessories). Proof of purchase is required for all claims. Warranty Summary
Warranty periods run from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for all claims.
How to Make a Claim
Lockton products are sold exclusively through trade channels. End-users who have received a Lockton product via an installer or trade supplier should contact their installer in the first instance — the trade supplier will liaise with Lockton Security to process the claim on your behalf.
To lodge a warranty claim through Terry’s Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries (including Gold Coast Smart Locks), please follow these steps:
- Contact us with details of the defect and, where possible, installation images.
- Supply your proof of purchase (invoice number or receipt).
- Provide contact details for claim updates.
- A Goods Return Number (GRN) will be obtained from Lockton Security on your behalf.
- Package the product securely, include the GRN, and return it as directed. Products returned without a GRN may not be accepted.
Once a correctly submitted claim is assessed by Lockton Security and approved, they will at their own cost and discretion either: repair and return the product; provide a replacement or similar product; supply refurbished goods of equivalent type and quality (covered under the remaining warranty period); or refund the purchase price. If the claim is not approved, Lockton Security will advise in writing and the product will be returned at the customer’s expense, or recycled upon request.
Exclusions
The Lockton warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by improper use or incorrect product selection
- Improper installation
- Fair wear and tear
- Environmental conditions outside product specifications (e.g. coastal air, high humidity, or exposure to corrosive substances)
- Products that have been modified, repaired, or altered
- Use of non-genuine replacement parts or accessories
- Batteries (no warranty applies)
Important Notes
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The Lockton manufacturer warranty is offered in addition to, and does not limit, these statutory rights.
