The Lockwood ASSA ABLOY Integral Escutcheon with Key Override (ITGL-AUT1I1KOSS) is a stand-alone wireless RFID access control escutcheon built for commercial and accommodation doors where you need secure, credential-based entry without hardwiring the opening. It reads RFID cards and fobs at the door, records who entered and when, and adds a mechanical key override for authorised emergency or management access.
Integral is an offline, data-on-card access control system. Access permissions are carried on the credential and read by the lock, so there is no cabling to run through the door or frame and no IP networking knowledge required for a standard deployment. That makes it well suited to retrofit upgrades as well as new work, and the platform scales to up to 9999 doors and unlimited users across a site.
This SKU is the escutcheon assembly only. It is designed around the Australian mortice lock footprint 3772NOHDSS, with 530 tubular latch options available in related Integral variants. Fire performance always depends on the complete tested doorset - the door type, the escutcheon and the approved latch or mortice lock combination used together. How the Integral System Works
Integral is an offline, data-on-card access control system. You design the site (zones, floors and doors) in the Integral management software, encode that data onto system cards, and the locks read it at the door - there is no wiring between openings and no live network connection needed.
- Set up: program each lock by presenting the System Activation (SWA) card, then the Lock ID card, then the Lock Real-Time card - each within 3 seconds of the last. LED and buzzer feedback confirms each step.
- Everyday access: present a valid RFID user card or fob; the lock grants access and logs the event. User cards will not open a door set to internal Privacy mode.
- Management credentials: Floor, Zone, Global and Security cards unlock progressively wider groups of doors within a valid period; a Recorder card reads the audit trail off each lock.
- Software versions: the Access Control Management System is supplied in a Commercial version or an Accommodation version. Either one adds and deletes doors and users, sets access rights, writes Software Management Cards (which activate card issuing and initialise door locks) and Access Management Setting Cards (which set the lock ID and its real-time clock), and reports by door, by user and by floor, building, block or zone - every opening and closing, and every lock and reader event.
- Encoding: the ITGL910-ENCODER is a plug-and-play USB device that assigns, modifies and invalidates every card type except the Special IC card, and reads a lock's audit trail when a Recorder card is presented. It runs at 13.56MHz on Windows, draws 100mA over USB and measures 31 x 98 x 125mm.
- On-site service: the ITGL930-HHD handheld NFC programmer configures locks, sets the lock clock, checks card and lock configuration and pulls audit trails from multiple locks into its own 2000-event memory before uploading - useful on a large site where walking a laptop to every door is not practical. It runs on 2 x AA (3.0V), measures 177.6 x 85 x 30mm and works from 0°C to 70°C.
- Doors without an escutcheon: the ITGL930-WALL reader brings the same Integral credentials to openings held by magnets, drop bolts, motorised locks or electric strikes. It is 12VDC at 100mA, reads MIFARE MACS cards at 20-50mm, stores a 2000-event audit trail and accepts a REX button signal input. It only operates with ASSA ABLOY Integral system cards.

What You Are Buying and What Fits
The two escutcheons and their fixings, and nothing else that operates the door. You get the interior escutcheon with its inside lever, the exterior escutcheon with the RFID proximity reader and outside lever, a 2mm and a 3mm Allen key, the battery cover with its black screw, a 30mm and a 35mm CSK screw, and four AA 1.5V batteries. There is no mortice lock body and no system activation card. If you need the lock body in the same carton, order ITGL-AUT1I1KOSS-B instead.
The Australian 3772NOHDSS footprint. That is the whole point of the product for a retrofitter: a site already running Selector 3772 mechanical mortice locks keeps its door preparation and swaps the furniture. Related Integral variants are supplied with a 530 tubular latch at 60mm, 89mm or 127mm backset instead. 35mm to 55mm. Measure the leaf itself, not the frame, and measure at the lock stile rather than at the edge of a rebated door. Chapter 02 shows where to take the measurement. If your door sits outside that range, call us before ordering rather than assuming a packer will bridge the gap.
The KOSS models carry a mechanical key override cylinder; the SS models do not. Everything else - the RFID reader, the audit trail, the privacy and passage modes, the 35-55mm door range - is the same. Only the two KOSS variants are stocked as standard here: this escutcheon-only SKU, and the -B bundle with the 3772 mortice lock. The full code list sits on page 10 of the Integral catalogue.
Satin stainless steel, and that is the only finish for this SKU. The escutcheon body is stainless steel rather than a plated or powdercoated substrate, which is part of why it reads as commercial hardware rather than residential. Finish has no effect on credential capability, compliance or performance.
Credentials and Access
ISO 14443A MIFARE® RFID media at 13.56MHz, read at roughly 30mm. In practice that means an Integral user card, fob or wristband, all sold in boxes of 20 and all writable. There is no PIN pad, no fingerprint reader and no phone app on this platform. Chapter 03 explains how RFID entry works.
They open progressively wider groups of doors. A User card opens the doors that user has been granted, within a valid period. A Floor card opens every room on a floor; a Zone card every room in a zone or building; a Global Access card and a Security card open every door on the site. A Recorder card does not open anything - it reads the audit trail off each lock. One rule applies to all of them: none will open a room that has internal Privacy mode set.
For authorised emergency or management access, and as the fallback if batteries go flat before anyone changes them. It is a site-policy decision more than a technical one - some operators want a master key path into every room, others deliberately do not. 992 events, held at the lock itself. You collect them either by presenting a Recorder card at the door and then reading that card back through the USB encoder, or by walking the handheld NFC programmer around, which holds 2000 events in its own memory before it needs uploading. Yes. Integral credentials are supplied plain white and custom printing is available, so room numbers, a site logo or staff photo ID can go on the card face without changing anything at the lock. Fobs and wristbands are the alternative where a printed card is impractical - wristbands in particular suit pools, gyms and aquatic centres.
System Setup and Card Programming
The escutcheon, a mortice lock body, the management software with its ITGL910-SWA system activation card, an ITGL910-ENCODER to write cards, and at least one user credential. The activation card is not in the escutcheon pack and is required even for a function test, which is the single most common ordering gap on this product.
Three cards in sequence, each presented within 3 seconds of the last: the System Activation (SWA) card, then the Lock ID card, then the Lock Real-Time card. LED and buzzer feedback confirms each step. If you pause too long between cards the lock drops out of programming mode and you start the sequence again. There are two: a Commercial version and an Accommodation version. Both add and delete doors and users, set access rights, write the Software Management Cards that activate card issuing and initialise locks, write the Access Management Setting Cards that set each lock's ID and real-time clock, and report by door, by user and by floor, building, block or zone. Choose on how the site is run rather than on what the building is called - a student residence managed like a hotel is an accommodation site.
One Integral server, up to 15 client workstations, 9999 door locks and readers, 27 elevator floors and unlimited users and cards. Each client workstation needs its own encoder, which is the cost people forget when they plan a second issuing desk. The capacity table is on page 10 of the Integral catalogue.
No, and that is deliberate. Integral is an offline data-on-card system - the permissions travel on the credential and are read at the door, so there is no gateway, no network and no app. If a client genuinely needs remote lock and unlock, this is the wrong platform and they should be looking at an app-connected product instead. Chapter 08 explains what a gateway adds, and five questions narrow the platform choice.
Comfortably, because there is nothing to host. No cloud account, no credential database off site, no firmware talking to a server overseas. Locking Modes, Egress and Safety
Yes. The inside lever gives panic release - a single action on the inside handle retracts the latch, whatever state the outside of the lock is in. That is the behaviour an egress path needs, and it is why the escutcheon suits corridors and rooms on a managed exit route. On the same 3772 platform, the 3772PEDSS panic-exit kit is the option where a full panic bar is specified instead.
It denies entry from outside while it is set - and no credential class beats it, not a Floor card, not a Zone card, not a Global Access or Security card. Egress from inside is unaffected. For an operator this is the important one to understand before it is explained to a guest or a resident: it is a genuine privacy state, not a soft do-not-disturb flag, so a room with privacy set cannot be entered on a management card.
Holding a door unlocked for a period when free movement is wanted - a meeting room during a conference, a common-area door during opening hours, a corridor door during a move-in. The lock stays open to anyone until passage mode is cleared. Treat it as an operational tool with a review step: doors left in passage mode overnight are the most common way a credentialed site quietly stops being credentialed.
Yes - the door opens on a handle press after a valid credential and locks again automatically within about 5 seconds. Nobody has to remember to secure the door behind them, which matters far more on a 200-room site than on a front door at home.
Power and Batteries
Four AA alkaline cells, rated by ASSA ABLOY at up to 60,000 operations. An under-voltage warning fires early, and the lock keeps working for roughly 50 more operations after it. On a hotel room door at a dozen operations a day that warning is days of notice; on a busy staff amenity it is closer to hours, so plan the replacement round accordingly. On this KOSS model, the mechanical key override opens the door. That is the practical argument for specifying the key-override variant across a site rather than the plain SS - a flat battery becomes a maintenance job rather than a callout. Batteries sit in the interior escutcheon, so the cover is on the safe side of the door.
The escutcheon is stainless steel and rated for 20% to 98% working humidity and -20°C to +70°C, which covers most Queensland conditions. Note that the Lockwood warranty excludes corrosion from coastal or corrosive environments, so a beachfront balcony door is a different proposition from an internal corridor. Compliance, Fire and Accessibility
The Integral escutcheon range is identified by ASSA ABLOY as fire rated, but that is never the whole answer. Fire performance belongs to the complete tested doorset - the leaf and its core, the escutcheon, and the approved latch or mortice lock used with it. The lever is certified to AS1428.1-2009 Design for Access and Mobility. That certification covers the lever design, not the whole opening - door width, approach clearances, opening force and hardware height all still have to be right for the door to be compliant in use. The Selector 3700 platform this escutcheon fits is catalogued with S7/S8 physical security, D8 durability and C6 anti-corrosion ratings under AS 4145.2-2008, and is fire tested up to 4 hours depending on the doorset to AS 1905.1. Installation, Retrofit and Site Planning
None. No cable through the leaf, no cable through the frame, no power supply, no network drop. That is the single biggest reason Integral gets specified in existing buildings: the cost of running cable to fifty doors in an occupied hotel usually dwarfs the hardware. Six things: the door schedule with thickness and existing mortice type; the credential mix and quantities; how many issuing desks there are, because each needs its own encoder; whether any openings need a wall reader rather than an escutcheon; how privacy and override are to be handled operationally; and who holds the Global Access and Security cards. Use the ITGL930-WALL door access controller. It is the same Integral credential set read at a wall-mounted unit, driving electromagnets, drop bolts, motorised locks or electric strikes - 12VDC at 100mA, a 20-50mm read range, a 2000-event audit trail of its own and a REX button input. Glass doors, roller shutters and plant-room entries usually end up here. It works only with ASSA ABLOY Integral system cards.
Range, Accessories and Alternatives
The ITGL910-ENCODER and ITGL910-SWA on the management side; user cards, fobs and wristbands as credentials; the ITGL930-WALL reader and ITGL930-HHD handheld programmer on the field side; and the ITGL-SCAR-001 scar plate for retrofits. The catalogue also lists an ITGL920-ICCard spare activation card, an ITGL930-ENERGY in-room energy saving device and an ITGL930-LIFT lift controller covering 2 to 27 floors; those three have no store listing yet, so ask us to quote them.
The Lockwood Cortex range, which puts a card and PIN lockset on the door itself with no central system behind it. The CTX3772 sits on the same 3772 mortice as this escutcheon, the CTX530 uses a 530 tubular latch, and the CTX5782 is the narrow-stile option for aluminium doors. The trade-off is that Cortex is managed at each door, so it does not give you a site-wide card hierarchy or a central audit report.
Lockwood's Australian warranty: 25 years on mechanical components and 3 years on electrical and electronic parts, with batteries excluded and keys covered for 12 months. On this escutcheon the lever, latch mechanism and override cylinder sit under the mechanical term and the reader and control electronics under the electronic term. Lockwood branded products are covered by manufacturer warranties issued by ASSA ABLOY Australia Pty Ltd. Warranty periods vary by product type, with separate cover for mechanical components, electrical and electronic parts, keys, and finishes.

- Everbrass finishes: up to 25 years against corrosion, tarnishing and discolouration.
- Stainless steel, polished stainless steel, chrome plating and anodised finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- PVD and VIVID finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- Symmetry range finishes: typically up to 5 years.
- Decorative finishes (Antique Copper, Architectural Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Aged Brass, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and related variants): typically up to 2 years against corrosion.
- Unlacquered brass finishes naturally age and change appearance over time. This is not considered a defect.
- Tea staining of stainless steel is not covered where the required cleaning and maintenance have not been followed.

- Removal, refitment or associated labour charges.
- Products not originally sold in Australia through authorised channels.
