Vault Rebate Kit for 147mm Mortice Locks - Double Door Conversion Kit
The Vault Rebate Kit for 147mm Mortice Locks (Vault_Rebate_Kit_147) is a stainless steel conversion kit that lets the Vault 5050 mortice - the small lock body with a 50mm backset, 50mm pitch and a 147mm face plate that Vault offers on the Vault Neo, Vault Triton and Vault Prime - close and lock correctly on rebated double doors, door pairs where one leaf overlaps the other at the meeting stiles. Its stepped face plate and rebate strike pack the mortice and its strike out to the step of the rebate, so the latch and bolt reach a properly seated strike instead of the overlap of the other leaf.
It is the kit for the 5050 mortice only. The Vault mortices with a 240mm face plate - the Hinged/Swinging Euro mortice, 6068 mortice and Innovative Mortice - take the Vault Rebate Kit for 240mm Mortice Locks, and a Vault lock on a tubular latch, or the Nexus and Nexus Vision deadbolts, take the Vault Rebate Kit for Tubular Latch Locks. Rebate kits are for hinged doors: a sliding door, or the Sliding Hook mortice, does not use one. It is not needed on flush double doors or single doors.
Usually ships in 24 hours.
This kit suits the Vault 5050 mortice - the 50mm backset, 50mm pitch mortice option on the Vault Neo, Vault Triton and Vault Prime (the Vault 50/50 Compact Mortice on the Prime). If your Vault lock is on a 240mm-face-plate mortice (the Hinged/Swinging Euro, 6068 or Innovative Mortice) you need the Vault Rebate Kit for 240mm Mortice Locks; if it is on a tubular latch, or it is a Nexus or Nexus Vision deadbolt, you need the Vault Rebate Kit for Tubular Latch Locks. Not sure which body you have? See Which Vault Rebate Kit Do I Need? below.

Which Vault Rebate Kit Do I Need?
Vault makes three rebate kits, and the right one depends on the lock body on your door - not on the smart lock model. Look at the door edge: a single round spring bolt through a small face plate is a tubular latch, and a single square bolt through a round bored hole is a deadbolt - both take the tubular latch kit. A long rectangular face plate carrying a latch and a bolt is a mortice, and the mortice kit is chosen by the length of that face plate: 147mm is the small Vault 5050 mortice, 240mm is the Hinged/Swinging Euro, 6068 or Innovative Mortice. Rebate kits are for hinged doors only - a sliding door, or the Sliding Hook mortice, does not use one. Many Vault locks can be ordered with more than one body, so check which one you chose at checkout.

Compatible Vault Locks
Vault offers the 5050 mortice as an option on three of its smart locks, and this is the rebate kit for that body on a rebated double door. The 5050 mortice is not sold on its own - it comes with the lock. Always confirm the latch and bolt position and the strike alignment on your pair before ordering:
- Vault Neo - the 5050 mortice (dual mortice latch) option, not the tubular latch option
- Vault Triton - the 50mm backset mortice option, not the tubular latch option
- Vault Prime - the Vault 50/50 Compact Mortice option (50mm backset, 50mm pitch); the Prime on a Hinged Euro or 6068 mortice takes the 240mm mortice kit, and on its tubular latch the tubular latch kit
Every other Vault mortice - the Hinged/Swinging Euro, 6068 and Innovative Mortice - has a 240mm face plate and takes the Vault Rebate Kit for 240mm Mortice Locks; the same three locks fitted with their tubular latch, and the Nexus and Nexus Vision deadbolts, take the Vault Rebate Kit for Tubular Latch Locks. The full Vault line-up is in our Vault smart lock range guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Only if the doors are rebated - one leaf overlaps the other where they meet - and the Vault lock on them is on the 5050 mortice. Flush double doors, single doors and sliding doors do not need a rebate kit at all.
The Neo, Triton and Prime when ordered with the 5050 mortice option - the full list is under Compatible Vault Locks. Those same locks on their tubular latch take the tubular latch kit, and a Vault lock on a Hinged Euro, 6068 or Innovative mortice takes the 240mm mortice kit.
Measure the face plate on the door edge. The 5050 mortice has a face plate about 147mm long, a 50mm backset and a 50mm pitch - the Neo calls it the dual mortice latch option, the Triton the 50mm backset mortice option and the Prime the Vault 50/50 Compact Mortice. The Hinged/Swinging Euro mortice, 6068 mortice and Innovative Mortice all have a 240mm face plate - the Hinged mortice in backsets from 25mm to 70mm, the 6068 at 60mm and the Innovative at 35, 60 or 70mm. If you ordered the lock from us and are not sure which body is in the box, contact us with your order number.
No. The plates in this kit are sized to the 147mm face plate of the 5050 mortice; the Vault Rebate Kit for 240mm Mortice Locks has a 240 x 24mm lock plate and a 245mm strike for the larger mortices. Order the kit that matches the face plate on your door - the comparison table above lists every Vault lock and body by kit.
The plates pack the mortice face and the strike out to the step of the rebate, so accurate positioning is what matters - a strike that is a few millimetres out is the usual reason a lock on a rebated pair will not latch. It is easiest to fit when the mortice goes in; retrofitting means taking the lock body back out of the door. Important Notes
Where a Vault product carries an Ingress Protection (IP) rating, that rating is stated on the individual product listing, packaging or technical documentation. Unless stated otherwise in writing, the IP rating applies only to the external-facing side of the lock - not to the internal assembly, handle, battery compartment, electronics, cables or connectors. The internal side must be installed in a dry, sheltered position. An IP rating describes water resistance, not waterproofing: the lock must not be submerged, pressure washed, or exposed beyond its stated rating, and all seals, gaskets and covers must be correctly fitted and undamaged.
Vault's manufacturer policy applies a warranty assessment holding fee, which is refundable if the fault is found to be covered under warranty. If a product is assessed as outside warranty or damaged by an excluded cause, a discounted replacement may be offered. We will confirm any applicable fees and options with you before any assessment proceeds.
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
