Vault Rebate Kit for 240mm Mortice Locks - Double Door Conversion Kit
The Vault Rebate Kit for 240mm Mortice Locks (Vault_Rebate_Kit_240) lets a Vault mortice lock body with a 240mm face plate - the Hinged/Swinging Euro mortice, the 6068 mortice and the Innovative Mortice - or a Vault smart lock fitted with one, close and lock correctly on rebated double doors, door pairs where one leaf overlaps the other at the meeting stiles. Its 240 x 24mm lock plate and 245 x 25 x 15mm strike plate adapt the mortice face and the strike to a 15mm rebate, so the latch and bolt reach a properly seated strike instead of the overlap of the other leaf.
It suits the Vault locks sold with one of those mortices: the Vault Alpha, Vault Zenith, Vault Eclipse, Vault Guardian, Vault Guardian Vision and Vault Prime on a Hinged Euro or 6068 mortice, the Vault Titan and Vault Olympus on the 6068, and the push-pull Vault Fortress, Vault Quantum and Vault Fortress Vision on the Innovative Mortice. The small Vault 5050 mortice (147mm face plate) on the Neo, Triton and Prime takes the Vault Rebate Kit for 147mm Mortice Locks, and a Vault lock on a tubular latch, or the Nexus and Nexus Vision deadbolts, takes the Vault Rebate Kit for Tubular Latch Locks. Rebate kits are for hinged doors only - a sliding door, or the Sliding Hook mortice, does not use one - and the kit is not needed on flush double doors or single doors.
Usually ships in 24 hours.
This kit suits the Hinged/Swinging Euro mortice, 6068 mortice and Innovative Mortice, and any Vault smart lock fitted with one of them. If your Vault lock is on the small 5050 mortice (147mm face plate - the Neo, Triton and Prime on their mortice option) you need the Vault Rebate Kit for 147mm Mortice Locks; if it is on a tubular latch, or it is a Nexus or Nexus Vision deadbolt, you need the Vault Rebate Kit for Tubular Latch Locks. Not sure which body you have? See Which Vault Rebate Kit Do I Need? below.

Which Vault Rebate Kit Do I Need?
Vault makes three rebate kits, and the right one depends on the lock body on your door - not on the smart lock model. Look at the door edge: a single round spring bolt through a small face plate is a tubular latch, and a single square bolt through a round bored hole is a deadbolt - both take the tubular latch kit. A long rectangular face plate carrying a latch and a bolt is a mortice, and the mortice kit is chosen by the length of that face plate: 147mm is the small Vault 5050 mortice, 240mm is the Hinged/Swinging Euro, 6068 or Innovative Mortice. Rebate kits are for hinged doors only - a sliding door, or the Sliding Hook mortice, does not use one. Many Vault locks can be ordered with more than one body, so check which one you chose at checkout.

Compatible Vault Locks and Mortices
This rebate kit suits rebated double-door installations of the three Vault mortices with a 240mm face plate, and of any Vault smart lock configured with one of them. Always confirm the latch and bolt position and the strike alignment on your pair before ordering:
- Vault Hinged/Swinging Euro Mortice (85mm pitch, backsets 25mm to 70mm, standard 240mm x 22mm face plate)
- Vault 6068 Mortice (60mm backset, 68mm pitch, 240mm x 24mm face plate - Titan / Olympus)
- Vault Innovative Mortice (push-pull, 35 / 60 / 70mm backsets, 240mm x 24mm face plate - under the Fortress, Quantum and Fortress Vision)
- Vault Alpha, Vault Zenith, Vault Eclipse, Vault Guardian and Vault Guardian Vision (on a Hinged Euro or 6068 mortice - not the 60mm tubular latch option, and not the Sliding Hook mortice on a sliding door)
- Vault Prime (on a Hinged Euro or 6068 mortice - the Prime on its Vault 50/50 Compact Mortice option takes the 147mm mortice kit, and on its tubular latch the tubular latch kit)
- Vault Titan and Vault Olympus (on the 6068 mortice)
The kit's 240 x 24mm lock plate matches the standard 240mm face plates above. If you ordered the Hinged/Swinging mortice with one of its alternative face plates (210mm x 24mm for a Lockwood Induro replacement, 290mm x 22mm for a Doric DS1273 replacement), contact us before ordering the kit. The Neo, Triton and Prime on the 5050 mortice take the Vault Rebate Kit for 147mm Mortice Locks; any Vault lock on a tubular latch, and the Nexus and Nexus Vision deadbolts, take the Vault Rebate Kit for Tubular Latch Locks. The full Vault line-up is in our Vault smart lock range guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Only if the doors are rebated - one leaf overlaps the other where they meet - and the Vault lock on them is on a Hinged Euro, 6068 or Innovative mortice. Flush double doors, single doors and sliding doors do not need a rebate kit at all.
The three Vault mortices with a 240mm face plate - the Hinged/Swinging Euro, 6068 and Innovative Mortice - bought on their own, and every Vault lock fitted with one: the Alpha, Zenith, Eclipse, Guardian, Guardian Vision and Prime on a Hinged Euro or 6068 mortice, the Titan and Olympus on the 6068, and the Fortress, Quantum and Fortress Vision on the Innovative Mortice. The full list is under Compatible Vault Locks and Mortices. A lock on the 5050 mortice takes the 147mm mortice kit; a lock on a tubular latch or deadbolt takes the tubular latch kit.
Measure the face plate on the door edge. The Hinged/Swinging Euro, 6068 and Innovative mortices all have a face plate about 240mm long (the Hinged mortice in backsets from 25mm to 70mm, the 6068 at 60mm, the Innovative at 35, 60 or 70mm); the small 5050 mortice on the Neo, Triton and Prime has a face plate about 147mm long, a 50mm backset and a 50mm pitch - the Neo calls it the dual mortice latch option, the Triton the 50mm backset mortice option and the Prime the Vault 50/50 Compact Mortice. The comparison table above matches each body to its kit.
The plates are made for the common 15mm rebate. A deeper or shallower step (10mm or 20mm, say) may not seat the strike correctly, so measure the rebate and contact us before ordering - we can advise on packing or an alternative strike for your door pair.
No. One kit covers every backset of the Hinged/Swinging Euro mortice (25mm to 70mm), the 6068 and the Innovative Mortice (35 / 60 / 70mm), because the plates follow the mortice's 240mm face plate rather than its backset. What does matter is the face plate: the Hinged mortice's optional 210mm or 290mm replacement plates are a different length, so check with us first if you chose one of those.

Important Notes
Where a Vault product carries an Ingress Protection (IP) rating, that rating is stated on the individual product listing, packaging or technical documentation. Unless stated otherwise in writing, the IP rating applies only to the external-facing side of the lock - not to the internal assembly, handle, battery compartment, electronics, cables or connectors. The internal side must be installed in a dry, sheltered position. An IP rating describes water resistance, not waterproofing: the lock must not be submerged, pressure washed, or exposed beyond its stated rating, and all seals, gaskets and covers must be correctly fitted and undamaged.
Vault's manufacturer policy applies a warranty assessment holding fee, which is refundable if the fault is found to be covered under warranty. If a product is assessed as outside warranty or damaged by an excluded cause, a discounted replacement may be offered. We will confirm any applicable fees and options with you before any assessment proceeds.
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
