The Yale Unity ALL-in-One Entrance Lock Kit is a complete smart lock system designed for Australian homes with a security screen door and a main entrance door. The kit delivers DualDoor™ Technology — a single credential action at the screen door simultaneously unlocks both the screen door and the main door behind it, removing the second unlock step entirely.
Everything needed for the system is included in the box: the Unity screen door lock, the Unity entrance lock, a Smart Keypad, and the Connect Plus Wi-Fi Bridge. From the moment the system is installed, full remote access and management are available through the Yale Home App without needing to purchase any additional hardware. Voice assistant integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant is also supported.
Access credentials are managed through the Yale Home App. The kit is tested to Australian Standard and is intended for residential installation. The screen door must be able to close freely in front of the main door lock. If the gap between your screen door and main door lock is smaller than the main door lock's projection, the screen door cannot close properly. Always measure this clearance before ordering. Installation & Compatibility
- Designed for hinged security screen doors. Not suitable for sliding screen doors.
- Reversible handing — suits both left-hand and right-hand opening doors without ordering a separate handed version.
- Wi-Fi connectivity requires a 2.4 GHz network (802.11b/g/n). 5 GHz networks are not supported.
- Voice assistant integration (Alexa, Google Assistant) requires the relevant voice assistant device and the Yale Home App to be set up and linked.
- Always check the clearance between your security screen and main door before ordering. The main door lock projects from the door face, and the screen door must pass in front of it freely. - Powered by AA alkaline batteries.
- Typical battery life up to 12 months under normal residential use.
- Low battery indicator alerts in the Yale Home App and audibly at the lock before batteries are depleted.
- Terry's recommends using Duracell batteries when replacements are required. Do not mix old and new batteries.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the kit include everything I need for remote access, or do I need to buy a gateway separately?
Everything is included. The Yale Connect Plus Wi-Fi Bridge — which provides remote access and management via the Yale Home App — is included in the kit. No additional gateway or bridge purchase is needed. This is the primary advantage of the Yale all-in-one approach over modular alternatives.
What is DualDoor™ Technology and how is it different from having two separate smart locks?
DualDoor™ links the screen door lock and the main entrance lock so that a single action — one PIN, one card tap, or one app command — releases both locks simultaneously. Will this work with my triple-locking security screen door?
Potentially, but triple-locking screen installations require additional checks before ordering. The key factor is whether your existing triple lock kit uses rigid rods or flexible cables to link the centre lock to the top and bottom locking points — cable-based kits are generally not compatible with screen door smart locks. Can I add fingerprint access to this system?
Fingerprint access is not included in this kit. It is available as an upgrade via the optional Yale Smart Keypad 2, which adds fingerprint recognition to the system and is sold separately.
Does the system work if the Wi-Fi drops out?
Yes. Bluetooth access via the Yale Home App continues to work locally without internet. PIN code entry via the Smart Keypad and RFID card access also operate without any network connection. The alternative approach — buying a screen door smart lock separately and adding a main door lock and gateway — offers more flexibility in product choice but requires more decisions at purchase. Screen door clearance — the most important pre-purchase check: When the screen door closes, it passes in front of the main entrance door and the lock on it. If the main door lock projects further from the door face than the gap between the two doors, the screen door cannot close. Wi-Fi network requirement: The Connect Plus Wi-Fi Bridge connects to 2.4 GHz networks only (802.11b/g/n). If your router broadcasts only at 5 GHz, a separate 2.4 GHz network or dual-band router configuration will be required. This warranty applies to genuine Yale products purchased new in Australia from ASSA ABLOY or its authorised resellers. It operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

- Keep your proof of original purchase (invoice or receipt).
- Contact Gold Coast Smart Locks - operated by Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries - as your authorised retailer, and follow the steps on our Returns & Warranty page.
- Return the product securely packed to protect it in transit, together with your proof of purchase and your name, address, email and phone number.
- ASSA ABLOY assesses the claim. Where the warranty applies, they will (at their option) repair the product, replace it with the same or closest equivalent Yale product, or refund the price you paid.
Claims made directly to ASSA ABLOY require a Case Number from their Customer Service Department before goods are returned - products sent back without a Case Number may not be accepted. Costs of returning a product are the customer's responsibility.
What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear.
- Misuse, abuse, accident, or use outside Yale's published technical specifications.
- Improper maintenance or neglect, or failure to follow ASSA ABLOY's care and maintenance recommendations.
- Use of batteries other than those specified; batteries themselves are not covered.
- Unauthorised alteration, modification or repair by anyone other than ASSA ABLOY authorised personnel.
- Custom orders made to components or specifications supplied by someone other than ASSA ABLOY.
- Goods that were not new when purchased, second-hand goods, or products not originally sold in Australia through ASSA ABLOY or an authorised reseller.
- Products with brands, marks, plates, numbers or other ASSA ABLOY information defaced or removed.
- Use of substitute, replacement or non-genuine ASSA ABLOY parts or cylinders.
- Corrosive exposure, including vapours, chemicals, abrasive compounds, contamination, pollution, coastal air, salt spray and high humidity.
- Removal, refitment or replacement of products, and any associated charges.
Important Notes
Batteries are consumable and are not covered. Cosmetic finishes and appearance are excluded. Stainless steel resists staining but is not stain-proof - tea staining is a natural process and is not covered where cleaning and maintenance guidelines have not been followed.
Damage from salt spray, coastal air, high humidity and other corrosives is excluded. In Gold Coast and coastal locations, choose a suitable finish and follow the care and maintenance guidance to protect your hardware and preserve your cover.
Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
This manufacturer's warranty is in addition to other rights and remedies you may have under the law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
