ABUS EVEROX One 61-50 Bluetooth Smart Padlock - IP66/IP68, 50mm (6150C)

The ABUS EVEROX One 61-50 (6150C) is a Bluetooth smart padlock designed for keyless access in outdoor and demanding environments. The lock is opened via the ABUS One app on a smartphone by pressing the centre button to wake the lock and tapping to release. No mechanical key is required or supplied.

The 50 mm die cast zinc body carries dual IP66 and IP68 ratings - protection against dust, powerful water jets, and continuous immersion. The hardened Nano Protect shackle provides strong pull resistance, and the spring-loaded design pops the shackle open automatically when the lock releases. Up to 28 users can be managed through the app, with access history logged for each entry.

Battery & Power

  • Powered by a CR2 lithium battery (included in the box). Refer to the ABUS user manual for battery life expectations and low-battery indicator details.
  • There is no mechanical key override on this padlock. It is a fully keyless product. If the battery is depleted before replacement, the lock cannot be opened electronically. Replace the battery promptly when the low-battery indicator activates. For more on the implications of smart padlocks with no key backup, see our guide to smart padlocks with no key override.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a mechanical key backup if the battery runs flat?
No. The EVEROX One 61-50 is a fully keyless padlock with no mechanical key cylinder. If the battery is depleted before replacement, the lock cannot be opened electronically. The low-battery indicator in the ABUS One app provides advance warning - do not ignore it. Refer to the user manual for the recommended emergency procedure.

What do the IP66 and IP68 ratings mean for outdoor use?
IP66 means the padlock is dust tight and protected against powerful water jets from any direction. IP68 means it is also rated for continuous immersion in water beyond 1 metre (to the depth and duration stated by the manufacturer). Having both ratings means the EVEROX One is one of the more weather-capable smart padlocks available. For a plain-English explanation of IP ratings, see Chapter 11 - Australian Smart Lock Standards.

Is the EVEROX One compatible with the ABUS Bridge One?
No. The ABUS EVEROX One 61-50 is explicitly stated as not compatible with the ABUS Bridge One. This means remote access via the Bridge One hub is not available for this model.

Is this the right padlock for my application?
The EVEROX One 61-50 is suited to outdoor applications where high weather resistance is required, and where Bluetooth-only access from a smartphone is acceptable. It is not suitable where a PIN code, RFID, or key backup access method is needed, or where the ABUS Bridge One remote hub is required. For a broader comparison of smart padlock options, see our guide to choosing the right smart padlock.

Additional Information

Dual IP66 and IP68 rating - what this means in practice: Most smart padlocks carry a single IP rating. The EVEROX One carries both IP66 (jet water resistance) and IP68 (immersion resistance). This makes it more suitable for applications where the lock is exposed to rain coming from any angle, hose washdown environments, or temporary flooding risk. It is unusual in this respect among Bluetooth padlocks at this price point.

ABUS One app platform: The EVEROX One uses the ABUS One app - ABUS's own platform - not TTLock, Tuya, or any third-party ecosystem. This means it does not integrate with TTRenting, Hospitable, or other property management platforms that work through TTLock. For single-site access management, the app provides full user management and access history. For property management automation, it is not the right product. For how smart-lock app ecosystems compare on security and where your access data is held, see platform security and data sovereignty.

No Bridge One compatibility: The ABUS Bridge One hub provides remote access functionality for compatible ABUS smart locks. The EVEROX One 61-50 is confirmed as not compatible with the Bridge One. Remote unlocking via the internet is not available for this model.

ABUS EVEROX One in our smart padlock guide: The EVEROX One 61-50 is covered in our independent smart padlock review. For our assessment of this model alongside other options, see the ABUS EVEROX One 6150 section of our smart padlock guide.
