ASSA ABLOY Aperio AH20-1-0 Gen5 Standard Wiegand Communication Hub - One Aperio Device per Hub
The Aperio AH20 Standard Wiegand Gen5 Communication Hub is the bridge between a single Aperio wireless device and an existing Electronic Access Control system. It presents the Aperio device to the controller over a standard Wiegand interface, which is why ASSA ABLOY describes it as compatible with most access control systems with no protocol integration needed.
It is a one-to-one hub: one hub serves one Aperio lock, cylinder, handle or padlock. Communication between the hub and the device is encrypted radio in real time, with a transmission range of up to 25 m depending on the building.
Where hardware-level status monitoring is needed beyond credential pass-through, the AH20-2-0 Advanced hub adds four configurable relay outputs.
This hub has no reader, no credential and no locking function. It is the communication link between one Aperio device and your access control controller, and it does nothing on its own. It is installed and commissioned by an accredited installer as part of an Electronic Access Control system.
This is a restricted product supplied to accredited installers only. It is a special order item and is non-returnable unless faulty. Confirm Aperio system compatibility before ordering.
Both AH20 hubs are 1:1. For more than one Aperio device you either deploy one AH20 per device, each occupying a Wiegand input on the controller, or move to a multi-device hub. ASSA ABLOY's range runs AH30-3-0 (RS485, up to 16 devices) and AH40-4-0 (IP over Ethernet, up to 64 devices); neither is stocked here, but we can order them. Work the hub count out with your integrator before ordering.

One. Both AH20 hubs are 1:1. For 16 devices ASSA ABLOY offers the AH30-3-0 over RS485, and for 64 the AH40-4-0 over IP; neither is stocked here but we can order them. The AH20-2-0 is also 1:1.
Four configurable relay outputs. Both are 1:1 Wiegand hubs with the same radio, tamper switch, event log and mounting. This is the Standard version. See AH20-2-0 for the other one.
ASSA ABLOY publishes no ingress rating, no dimensions and no power supply specification for the AH20 in any document we hold - the technical data block in the catalogue covers the AH40 only. Treat it as an indoor component and mount it on the secure side of the door.
ASSA ABLOY states that no protocol integration is needed - the hub presents the Aperio device over a standard Wiegand interface, which most access control systems already accept. Confirm with your integrator that a Wiegand input is available.

The catalogue describes the AH20 Standard and Advanced hubs in its feature panel, but its hub comparison table on page 48 and its ordering table on page 49 list only the Advanced version alongside the AH30 and AH40. There is no technical data block for either AH20 - no ingress rating, no dimensions, no power supply, no approvals. Anything this page does not state is something ASSA ABLOY does not publish, not something we have left out.
Those capacities belong to the AH30 (RS485, 16 devices) and the AH40 (IP over Ethernet, 64 devices). Neither applies to an AH20, which is 1:1 on both the Standard and the Advanced version.
Hub placement, wiring and commissioning are integrator work. Radio range to the Aperio device is up to 25 m but depends heavily on the building fabric. See Advice and Installation.
