Auslock Novo N25 — Smart Lever Lock with Integrated Keypad

The Auslock Novo N25 is the most visually distinct lock in the Auslock range — its touchpad is built directly into the lever handle face, with a compact round rose (ø65 mm) as the only escutcheon on the door. There is no separate rectangular panel. The result is a minimal, architectural profile that suits doors where a design-conscious installation matters.

Functionally the N25 delivers five access methods — fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, Bluetooth app, and mechanical key — on an existing lever set door preparation. The Auslock App manages all credentials locally via Bluetooth, with remote access available via the optional G2 or G3 Gateway. Available in Black and Silver. Note: this model uses 4 × AAA alkaline batteries — not AA.

Estimated Dispatch
In-stock orders typically dispatch within 1–2 business days from our Gold Coast warehouse.

Key Features

  • Lever-integrated keypad — touchpad runs along the lever handle face; no separate panel required; the only Auslock model with this form factor
  • Round rose escutcheon (ø65 mm) — minimal door footprint; the smallest escutcheon in the Auslock range
  • Five access methods — fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, Bluetooth app, and mechanical key
  • Fingerprint sensor on lever — up to 200 registered fingerprints; permanent or timed validity
  • PIN code via lever keypad — up to 150 codes; permanent, timed, one-time, custom, or recurring
  • Retrofits onto existing lever set preparations — no additional drilling on standard timber doors
  • Auto-lock and passage mode configurable via the Auslock App
  • USB-C emergency power port — connect a power bank if batteries are flat
  • 4 × AAA alkaline batteries — not included; note AAA (not AA); low-battery alert below 4.8 V
  • Available in Black and Silver — both finishes on this listing
This model uses AAA batteries, not AA. The N25 uses 4 × AAA alkaline cells — smaller than the AA batteries used in most other Auslock models (H05, H06, H11A/B, H13, T13B). If you own other Auslock locks, do not assume your spare batteries will fit.

Suitable Uses

Design-led and architectural installations — the N25's lever-integrated keypad and small round rose leave far less visual mass on the door face than any other Auslock model. Ideal where a standard 140 mm rectangular panel would look over-engineered for the door design.
Timber entry doors, 35–65 mm thick — retrofits onto existing lever set preparations with 60 mm or 70 mm backset; no additional drilling on most standard doors.
Airbnb and short-stay rentals — timed PIN codes and e-keys for guests; add a gateway for remote access and credential management. See Chapter 07 — Smart locks for Airbnb.
Not for fire-rated doors — the N25 does not carry fire rating certification and must not be used on fire door applications.

Battery, Power & Backup

The N25 runs on 4 × AAA alkaline batteries — not included. This model uses AAA cells, not the AA cells used by most other Auslock models. Alkaline only. The low-battery alert fires below 4.8 V. Replace all four batteries together when notified.

Wiring short-circuit risk during installation. The N25 manual specifically warns that the wire cable connector must be inserted correctly into the front panel connector hole. Incorrect insertion can cause a short circuit. Take particular care when connecting the exterior and interior assemblies, and ensure the cable hole in the door is large enough to avoid a kinked cable.
USB-C Emergency Power
If batteries fully deplete, connect a USB-C power bank to the front panel port for temporary power — activates the touchscreen for PIN or fingerprint entry. Keep a power bank accessible outside the property for this scenario.

The mechanical backup key provides a final failsafe independent of battery state. Always keep one key at a secure off-site location.

Remote App Access & Gateway

The N25 connects to the Auslock App via Bluetooth for local control within approximately 5 m. For remote access from anywhere — locking, unlocking, viewing history, managing credentials, and enabling voice control — an Auslock Gateway is required within ~15 m of the lock.

Auslock G2 Gateway (Wi-Fi) — plug-in; connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Auslock gateways use 2.4 GHz only. If your router merges bands, see the band-steering guide.
Auslock G3 Gateway (PoE Ethernet) — wired; no band-steering issues. See Chapter 08 — Gateway Comparison.

Auslock App

The N25 uses the Auslock App, available on iOS and Android. iOS App StoreAndroid Google Play This is Auslock's own proprietary platform — not TTLock, not Tuya. The app supports multiple admin levels, e-key sharing, named access codes, scheduled and recurring codes, activity logs, and remote access when a gateway is connected.

Choosing a smart lock means choosing an app platform. Chapter 15 — Smart Lock App Platforms covers what to look for before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the lever-integrated keypad work in practice?
The N25 touchpad runs vertically along the front face of the lever handle itself — digits 1–9 and 0 are arranged in a column rather than a grid. To enter a PIN, touch the digits then press # to confirm. The fingerprint sensor is at the top of the lever. Most users find it straightforward after the first use; it is the same interaction as a standard keypad, just in a vertical strip format.
My permanent passcode stopped working — why?
Permanent passcodes must be tested within 24 hours of creation, otherwise they auto-expire as a security measure. Create the code, test it from the keypad immediately, and it will remain active indefinitely.
The fingerprint is inconsistent — how do I improve it?
Clean the sensor with a dry microfibre cloth. Delete the fingerprint and re-enrol, presenting the same finger at 2–3 slightly different angles during the 4-scan registration. Add a second finger as backup. If inconsistency continues after re-enrolment, replace the AAA batteries — low voltage degrades fingerprint sensor performance before the alarm fires.
The latch does not catch the strike — what do I check?
Confirm the correct backset is installed (60 mm or 70 mm). Then check strike plate alignment — even 1–2 mm of door sag can prevent the latch engaging cleanly. Test with the door open; if it operates smoothly open but fails closed, adjust the strike plate. See Chapter 12 — misalignment.
The touchpad has no response after installation — what do I check?
Confirm the AAA batteries are inserted with correct polarity. Remove the back panel and check the wire connection between front and back panels. The manual specifically warns that incorrect connector insertion can cause a short circuit — check this carefully. If both are correct, ensure the cable hole in the door is large enough per the installation template to avoid a kinked cable. See 3 common DIY installation mistakes.

Additional Information

Fingerprint registration tips
Register each fingerprint via the Auslock App while beside the lock. Each scan requires 4 presentations — enrol at 2–3 slightly different angles for more reliable recognition. Set validity to permanent or timed. Add a second finger as backup. For common fingerprint failure modes, see Chapter 03 — fingerprint access.
Wiring caution during installation
The N25 manual specifically warns that the wire cable connector must be inserted correctly into the front panel connector hole. Incorrect insertion can cause a short circuit. Also ensure the cable hole in the door is large enough per the installation template — a kinked cable inside the door will cause intermittent or no connectivity. Confirm your door prep format before ordering, and read the most common DIY install mistakes before starting.
Auslock App is not TTLock
The N25 uses the Auslock App — a distinct platform from TTLock or Tuya. If you need PMS integration or inter-brand compatibility, this is not the right product. Chapter 15 — Choosing an App Platform explains the distinction.
