The Borg BL2000KSCNEW Knob Keypad Only is the outside knob keypad from Borg's BL2000 satin chrome lock, sold on its own as a replacement keypad only. It suits Borg 2000 series knob locks - the BL2000SC it matches and the other models under Compatible Borg Locks and Lockwood Conversions - and it is the keypad Borg's Lockwood conversion kits are made to take.

Like every lock in our mechanical digital range, it needs no batteries, wiring or app. It belongs to Borg's light duty 2000 series, with over 8,000 code combinations, and the code is changed On The Bench - the lock comes off the door for it (how the Borg bench change works).

Replacement Keypad Only - Not a Complete Lock
This listing is the outside knob keypad only. A working lock also needs the inside handle, latch, strike plate and spindle, which come with the complete Borg BL2000SC lock - order that instead if there is no Borg lock on the door yet. On The Bench Code Change - a Fiddly Job
To change the code, the lock comes off the door, the plate inside the keypad is unscrewed and the coded and un-coded pieces are moved with tweezers while C is held in. It works, but it is fiddly, and Borg says to test the new code three or four times before the lock goes back on. The code is not sequential, so the coded buttons can be pressed in any order, and spare coded pieces let you set a longer or shorter code. Frequently Asked Questions

Will this keypad fit my Borg lock?
It is the outside knob keypad of Borg's 2000 series. It matches the BL2000SC and suits the BL2200, BL2002SC, BL2202SC and either side of the BL2020SC back-to-back. The BL2005SC deadbolt uses the same series keypad, but ask us before ordering for it. Check the model on your lock and ask us if in doubt - the full list is in the compatibility table.

How do I change the code?
On The Bench. Take the lock off the door (two screws at the top and bottom of the inside handle), remove the red screws and the plate over the code chamber, then hold C in and move the coded (red) and un-coded (blue) pieces with tweezers - never remove the C piece, and keep the square cut-outs facing out. Refit the plate and test the new code three or four times before the lock goes back on. Should I choose this or an Easicode Pro keypad?
Choose Easicode Pro if you will change the code with any regularity - even once a year. The On The Bench change on this keypad means taking the lock off the door and moving small pieces by hand. Can I use it to convert a Lockwood lock?
Yes - that is what Borg's conversion kits are for. The BL3572KIT suits a Lockwood 3572 mortice lock, the BL3582KIT a 3582 and the BL002KIT a 002 deadlatch, with back-to-back kits for a keypad on each side. None of the kits includes a keypad, so you need this one as well. Read how the retrofit kits work and ask us to check your lock first.

Can I use it on an outside door or gate?
Borg makes the 2000 series as a light duty range, and this satin chrome keypad is not an external grade product. For a door or gate in the weather, the external grade BL2600KMG knob keypad is the one to look at, and a Marine Grade Pro keypad near the coast (where MG Pro is worth it).

• Keypad only, by design: replacing just the outside unit keeps the inside handle, latch and strike already on the door - the approach we explain in why spare parts matter. Starting from scratch? Buy the complete BL2000SC.
• Keep spare pieces for the bench: a coded or un-coded piece that goes missing mid-change stops the job - BLS213 and BLS214 are the spares.

Borg Locks Warranty - 12 Months (Australia)
All Borg locks are warranted against mechanical defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a minimum of 12 months from date of sale. The warranty does not cover damage arising from misuse, vandalism, or improper installation. The lock must not be dismantled - doing so will invalidate the warranty. Proof of purchase required for all claims.
