The Borg BL4401KMGPRO Lever Keypad Only is the outside keypad and lever from Borg's BL4401 Marine Grade Pro gate lock, sold on its own as a replacement keypad and lever only. It matches the Borg BL4401MGPRO, the On The Bench version of Borg's BL4400 gate lock - the full list is under Compatible Borg Gate Locks.

Like every lock in our mechanical digital range, it needs no batteries, wiring or app. Its black Marine Grade Pro (MG Pro) coating is salt spray tested to 1,000 hours (what MG Pro means), and the code is changed On The Bench - the lock comes off the gate for it.

Replacement Keypad Only - Not a Complete Lock
This listing is the outside keypad and lever only. A working gate lock also needs the inside handle, latch, strike plate and spindle, which come with the complete Borg BL4401MGPRO gate lock - order that instead if there is no Borg lock on the gate yet.

On The Bench Code Change - a Fiddly Job
To change the code, the lock comes off the gate, the plate inside the keypad is unscrewed and the coded and un-coded pieces are moved with tweezers while C is held in. It works, but it is fiddly - and on a gate it means taking the lock off outdoors. Spare coded pieces let you set a code of three or four digits, or six or seven. If you expect to change the code even once a year, choose the BL4401KMGPROECP instead: the same keypad with Easicode Pro, changed on the gate with a key. The keypad has Borg's black Marine Grade Pro (MG Pro) external coating over 316 stainless steel internals, and the coating is salt spray tested to 1,000 hours. The BL4401KMGPRO is the outside keypad for Borg's BL4400 series gate locks. Check the model and code change method on the lock you have, and ask us if it is not listed or you are not sure.

Borg Marine Grade Pro Keypad-Only Family

All three are black Marine Grade Pro keypad-only units. If you expect to change the code even once a year, choose Easicode Pro - the On The Bench change is a fiddly job with the lock off the gate (the bench method, do you always need ECP?). Borg rates the standard BL4400 keypad at over 8,000 combinations and the Easicode Pro keypad at over 4,000.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this keypad fit the Borg lock on my gate?
It is made for the Borg BL4400 series and matches the BL4401MGPRO. It also fits the Easicode Pro BL4401MGPROECP, BL4441MGPROECP and BL4409MGPROECP, but those locks would lose their on-gate code change - their matching spare is the BL4401KMGPROECP. Borg says the BL4400 keypad shares the BL2600 series footprint, but fit to the BL2601MGPRO and BL2601MGPROECP knob locks is not confirmed. Ask us if in doubt - the full list is in the compatibility table.

How do I change the code?
On The Bench. Take the lock off the gate, remove the screws and the plate over the code chamber, then hold C in and move the coded (red) and un-coded (blue) pieces with tweezers - never remove the C piece, and keep the square cut-outs facing out. Choose the Easicode Pro BL4401KMGPROECP if you will ever change the code - even once a year. Borg Locks Warranty - 12 Months (Australia)
All Borg locks are warranted against mechanical defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a minimum of 12 months from date of sale. The warranty does not cover damage arising from misuse, vandalism, or improper installation. The lock must not be dismantled - doing so will invalidate the warranty. Proof of purchase required for all claims.
