Auslock H13 Smart Lever Handle Lock - Black
The Auslock H13 (Item Code: AUSH13B-BLK) is a motorised smart lever handle lock designed for residential and light commercial doors in both timber and aluminium construction. It integrates the electronic keypad, fingerprint reader, and lever handle into a single exterior assembly, replacing a standard lever set without additional drilling.
The H13 provides five access methods — Bluetooth app, PIN code, RFID card, fingerprint (optional), and mechanical key override — and supports remote access when paired with an optional Auslock G2 gateway. The adjustable tubular latch accommodates 60mm or 70mm backsets, and the lever handle direction is independently adjustable on both exterior and interior panels to suit left or right opening doors.
Emergency power is available via a Type-C port on the exterior panel — connect a power bank to temporarily activate the lock if batteries are fully depleted. A 16-digit scramble code (vague code) function prevents PIN identification from shoulder surfing.
Key Features
- Five access methods: Bluetooth app, PIN code, RFID card, fingerprint (optional), and mechanical key override.

- DIY installation — no additional drilling required on doors with standard lever set preparation.

Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries (6V total) — not included.
- Alkaline batteries only — lithium and rechargeable batteries must not be used.
- Do not install batteries until the lock is fully fitted to the door. Install and test mechanical operation with the door open first, then insert batteries as the final step.
- Low voltage alarm activates when voltage drops below 4.8V — replace batteries immediately upon any notification from the lock or app.
- Type-C emergency power port on the exterior panel — connect a 5V power bank to temporarily activate the lock when batteries are fully depleted. This port does not charge the batteries.
- Mechanical key override — 2 keys included. Insert into the lock cylinder and rotate 90° counter-clockwise to unlock. Keep at least one key outside the property at all times.
Remote App Access (Optional – Gateway Required)
The H13 communicates via Bluetooth and connects directly to the AUSLOCK app without any network involvement — the lock is not exposed to network-based attacks in standalone Bluetooth mode. Remote access from outside Bluetooth range requires the Auslock G2 Wi-Fi gateway (sold separately), which bridges the lock to your home Wi-Fi and the AUSLOCK app for remote unlock, credential management, clock calibration, and access history review from anywhere with internet access.
Without a gateway, the lock operates fully via its onboard access methods: Bluetooth (within 5m), PIN code, RFID card, fingerprint (if fitted), and mechanical key.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set the latch backset?
Measure your door backset before installation. The tubular latch adjusts between 60mm (23/8") and 70mm (23/4") — push the latch tongue to select the correct backset length before fitting into the door. Set this before installing the latch.
How do I adjust the handle direction?
Both the exterior and interior handles are independently adjustable. For the exterior assembly, use the supplied 3mm Allen wrench to loosen the screw, rotate the handle to the correct direction for your door handing, then retighten. For the interior assembly, loosen the screw, adjust, and retighten. Do this before fitting the assemblies to the door.
What is the vague code (scramble code)?
The H13 supports up to 16-digit vague code entry. Enter any string of up to 16 digits — as long as your correct 4-9 digit PIN is included somewhere within the string, the lock will accept it. This prevents observers from identifying your PIN from watching your finger movements or from wear patterns on the keypad.
How do I lock the door when auto-lock is off or in passage mode?
Press and hold the * key on the keypad. This manually engages the lock regardless of auto-lock or passage mode settings.
What happens if I enter the wrong PIN too many times?
After five consecutive incorrect password entries, the keypad locks for 5 minutes. The door can still be opened during the lockout using fingerprint, RFID card, Bluetooth app, or mechanical key.
How do I reset the lock to factory settings?
Open the back panel cover, then long-press the Reset button for 5 seconds. When prompted, press "000#" on the keypad. The reset is complete. All registered credentials are erased. The lock can then be re-paired via the AUSLOCK app.
Additional Information
Do not install batteries before installing the lock. Complete the full mechanical installation — latch, exterior assembly, interior assembly — then install batteries as the final step. Always test with the door open before closing to avoid being locked out.
After pairing the lock to the AUSLOCK app, set the door opening direction (open to left or open to right) in the app before using the lock. If the lock/unlock action is opposite to what you expect, the opening direction setting needs to be corrected in the app.
New locks ship with a default passcode of 123456. Change this immediately after pairing. To add the lock to the AUSLOCK app, touch the keypad to wake the screen, then select "+ Add Lock" in the app with Bluetooth enabled. The lock will appear as a nearby device.
Confirm whether the fingerprint module is included in your specific unit before ordering. Fingerprints must be registered via the AUSLOCK app while standing beside the lock. Each fingerprint can be set as permanent, timed, or recurring. Registering the same finger from multiple angles is recommended for faster and more reliable recognition.
The Auslock H13 carries a 1-year warranty from date of purchase.
