Auslock Smart Deadbolt T13B — Black
The Auslock T13B is a motorised smart deadbolt for residential timber entry doors. It delivers five access methods — fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, Bluetooth app, and mechanical key override — in a compact 75 × 143 mm front panel weighing just 1.3 kg. A built-in door sensor monitors open/closed state, auto-lock and passage mode are configurable via the Auslock App, and optional remote access is available via the Auslock G2 or G3 Gateway.
The T13B suits doors from 40–90 mm thick — a wider range than most standard deadbolts. Opening direction is set in the Auslock App after pairing; no physical adjustment is needed. Note: the T13B has no USB-C emergency power port. The mechanical key is the only backup if batteries are fully flat — keep one outside the premises at all times.

We stock a range of digital smart deadbolts for different door constructions, backsets, and installation requirements.

Battery, Power & Backup
The T13B runs on 4 × AA alkaline batteries — not included. Alkaline only — lithium and rechargeable batteries must not be used. The low-battery alert fires below 4.8 V. Replace all four batteries together when notified; complete the installation fully before inserting batteries, with the door open.
Remote App Access & Gateway
The T13B connects to the Auslock App via Bluetooth for local control within approximately 5 m. For remote access from anywhere — locking, unlocking, viewing history, managing credentials, and enabling voice control — an Auslock Gateway is required within ~12 m of the lock.

Auslock App
The T13B uses the Auslock App, available on iOS and Android. ![]()
This is Auslock's own proprietary platform — not TTLock, not Tuya. The app supports multiple admin levels, e-key sharing, named access codes, scheduled and recurring codes, activity logs, and remote access when a gateway is connected.
Frequently Asked Questions
After pairing the T13B to the Auslock App, set the door opening direction (left or right) in app settings before using the lock. If the bolt throws the wrong way, check that the opening direction setting matches your door. This is a one-time app setup step — unlike lever-style locks, there is no physical handle to adjust.
Permanent passcodes must be tested within 24 hours of creation, otherwise they auto-expire as a security measure. Create the code, test it from the keypad immediately, and it will remain active indefinitely.
Replace all four AA batteries with fresh brand-name alkaline cells first. Then test with the door open — if the bolt throws correctly open, the issue is strike plate alignment when the door is closed. Even 1–2 mm of door sag can prevent the bolt from retracting cleanly. See Chapter 12 — misalignment.
Open the back panel battery cover. Hold the Reset button for 5 seconds. When prompted, enter 0000# on the keypad — that is four zeros, then the # key. The T13B uses four zeros; all other Auslock models use three (000#). All users, codes, cards, and fingerprints are removed. Re-add the lock to the Auslock App as admin. Always reset with the door open.
Five consecutive wrong entries lock the keypad for 90 seconds. This is shorter than the 5-minute lockout on other Auslock models. All other access methods — fingerprint, RFID, Bluetooth app, and mechanical key — continue to work during the lockout period.
Additional Information
When fitting the exterior assembly, keep the cylinder rod (spindle) horizontal. Incorrect orientation will prevent the deadbolt motor from engaging correctly after installation. If the bolt does not operate after fitting, remove the exterior panel and check the cylinder rod position before assuming a fault.
After mechanical installation, loosen the rear panel screws and push the door sensor towards the door frame until it is within sensing distance of the magnet, then retighten. Correct sensor alignment is required for auto-lock and door status monitoring to function accurately.
Register each fingerprint while standing beside the lock with the Auslock App open. Enrol the same finger at 2–3 slightly different angles to improve recognition reliability. Add a second finger as backup. For fingerprint troubleshooting see Chapter 03 — fingerprint access.
The T13B uses the Auslock App — a distinct platform from TTLock or Tuya. If you need PMS integration or inter-brand compatibility, this is not the right product. Chapter 15 — Choosing an App Platform explains the distinction.
