Frequently Asked Questions
This bolt suits the McGrath Ashgrove, McGrath Kedron and McGrath Grange smart locks only. It is not interchangeable with bolts from other McGrath lock models or other brands.
The backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the bolt hole. Measure this on your door before ordering. This bolt adjusts to accommodate both 60mm and 70mm, so either measurement is covered by the one part. For a step-by-step guide see Measuring Your Lock Backset.
Yes. Both are stainless steel. The Satin Stainless Steel variant has a brushed satin finish. The Matt Black variant is the same stainless steel bolt with a powder-coat finish applied over it — which is why it is slightly more expensive. Match your choice to the finish of your Ashgrove, Kedron or Grange lock.
Yes. The kit includes a matching strike plate, a plastic door stop buffer and four screws — everything needed to complete a bolt replacement.
Additional Information
This bolt is the factory-matched spare part for the McGrath Ashgrove, Kedron and Grange locks. Because these locks ship with a 60/70mm adjustable bolt as standard, this replacement part preserves full compatibility without any modification to the lock body or door. If you are unsure whether your door requires 60mm or 70mm, the adjustable design means you only need to order once — the one part covers both backset measurements. For installation guidance see the Installation & Troubleshooting chapter and our site survey and installation service on the Gold Coast.
