McGrath A210 Slimline Digital Smart Lock - Narrow Stile, 5-in-1 Access
The McGrath A210 is a slimline 5-in-1 digital smart lock engineered specifically for narrow stile aluminium doors, making it well-suited to residential, office, and commercial environments where standard-width smart locks will not fit. The 43 mm wide lock body is purpose-sized for the slim door profiles found on aluminium-framed hinged glass doors, composite entry doors, and similar narrow-stile applications.
Five access methods are supported from the exterior keypad: fingerprint recognition, PIN code, RFID credential, Bluetooth eKey via the McGrath Locks App, and mechanical key override. The interior side carries a passive lever and thumb-turn. Optional Wi-Fi remote access is available when the lock is paired with a compatible McGrath Locks gateway. For an overview of how each access method works, see our guide to smart lock access methods.
Same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and QLD public holidays).
This product is also available in a double-sided (back-to-back) configuration - both faces carry a full electronic keypad and fingerprint reader.

Wi-Fi Remote Access (Optional - Gateway Required)
The A210 does not include native Wi-Fi connectivity. The gateway bridges the lock to your Wi-Fi network via Bluetooth, connecting it to the McGrath Locks App.
Not sure whether you need a gateway? See our guide to whether you actually need a gateway. To compare gateway models (G2, G3, G4, G5), see the G2 vs G3 vs G4 vs G5 gateway comparison or the McGrath gateway generations guide. For what a gateway does at a technical level, see Chapter 08 - Gateway Comparison. For how Bluetooth and gateway access work together in the TTLock platform, see Chapter 14 - TTLock Platform Guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
What battery size does the A210 use?
The A210 uses 4 x AAA alkaline batteries (not included) - confirmed in the manufacturer's technical specification. Do not use AA batteries. Terry's recommends Duracell for best performance and battery life.
What stile width does my door need?
The A210 lock body is 43 mm wide. Door stiles of 50 mm or wider can generally accommodate the A210. Always confirm your stile width before ordering. For full guidance on measuring your door stile, see Chapter 02 - Measuring Your Door.
What is the difference between the A210 and A210 Double-Sided?
The A210 (this product) has one active exterior keypad and a passive interior lever. The A210 Double-Sided carries a full electronic keypad and fingerprint reader on both faces of the door for controlled access from either side.
Is the A210 suitable for sliding doors?
The A210 is designed for hinged doors and is not suitable for sliding doors. For sliding door applications, see the McGrath A231 with Hook Bolt for Sliding Doors.
Does the lock require internet access to operate?
No. The lock operates locally via Bluetooth using the McGrath Locks App - no internet connection is required for day-to-day access. Remote management and remote unlocking from outside the property require an optional Wi-Fi gateway. Not sure whether your setup needs one? See our guide to whether you actually need a gateway.
Additional Information
Confirm stile width (50 mm minimum recommended), door thickness (38-55 mm), and existing backset before ordering. The A210 is supplied with a 30 mm backset European mortice. For full guidance on all measurements, see Chapter 02 - Measuring Your Door and our guide to measuring your lock backset.
The IP65 rating applies to the external handle face only. The internal assembly and battery compartment are not IP rated and must not be exposed to water or moisture. See Chapter 11 - Australian Smart Lock Standards for a plain-English explanation of IP ratings.
The A210's 80 mm outside handle projection means the lock handle extends noticeably from the door face. If a security screen door is fitted, measure the clearance between the main door face and the screen frame before ordering to confirm the handle will not foul the screen when the main door is opened. Our guide on checking screen door clearance before fitting a smart lock covers the measurements to take. For installation alignment and common preparation errors, see 3 common DIY installation mistakes and easy fixes.
