No USB Emergency Power Port: The 59413 does not have a USB emergency power input. If batteries are fully depleted, the C4 mechanical key is the only way to access the door. Keep at least one key stored in a secure location outside the door at all times - see our guide to safe key storage. Replace batteries promptly when the low battery alarm activates.
- Powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries (6V total) - not included. Austyle recommends Energizer Max Plus or equivalent high-quality alkaline cells; lithium and rechargeable batteries are not compatible and may void warranty. See choosing and monitoring batteries.

Remote Access (WiFi Hub Required)
The 59413 has no built-in WiFi. Remote access features - including remote unlock from anywhere, cloud access history, timed PIN code management, and voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa - require pairing with the Austyle 59419 WiFi Gateway Hub (sold separately). How do I get reliable fingerprint reads?
Enrol each finger from a few slightly different angles, pressing the same way you naturally would in daily use. Keep the reader clean and dry - oils and moisture are the usual cause of failed reads. Our three-angle enrolment technique walks through it.

Yes - an installation template, both spindles, screws, threaded sleeves and an Allen key are supplied, and no mortice is required. Take care to pick the correct spindle for your door thickness and to keep spindle protrusion under 30mm inside. If you would rather not, our team can fit it. The guard bolt is not engaging when the door closes - what do I check?
The high-security guard bolt must be extended when the door is closed for the lock to secure. If it is not deploying, check that the strike plate lines up with the latch and that the door sits squarely in the frame; adjust the anti-rattle tongue if the door is a loose fit. Misalignment is the most common cause - see installation troubleshooting.

How do I look after it?
Wipe the panel with a dry or lightly damp cloth - no solvents, abrasives or high-pressure water. Keep the fingerprint reader clean and dry. Carry out Austyle's six-monthly maintenance check, applying a little dry lubricant to the latch mechanism.

Exclusions - What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Commercial installations - this lock is rated for residential use only
- Damage caused by water entering from the inside of the door (the exterior is rated IP55; internal water ingress is not covered)
- Installation on tongue-and-groove doors, where water can penetrate through the groove
- Installation on gates
- Prolonged direct exposure to sunlight or rain - the lock must be positioned under an eave or in a sheltered area
- Damage caused by use of lithium or rechargeable batteries - only high-quality alkaline AA batteries (4 x AA) are supported
- Damage resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, or failure to follow the installation instructions
- Normal wear and consumable items, including batteries
Important Notes
To maintain warranty coverage, the lock must be installed on a smooth, flat door surface with the rubber gasket correctly seated. Only 4 x AA alkaline batteries are supported - lithium and rechargeable batteries are not compatible and their use may void the warranty. Austyle products purchased from another retailer or website cannot be returned to Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries for warranty assessment.
