The Austyle 59406 is a complete smart digital lever entrance set for residential timber and aluminium doors. It combines the same five-credential lever set as the Austyle 59405 with the Austyle 49429 entrance mortice (304SS, 60mm backset) already in the box. Access methods are fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, Bluetooth app, and mechanical key, all managed through the TTLock app (iOS and Android). Remote WiFi access is available when paired with the Austyle 59419 WiFi Gateway Hub (sold separately). Understand the difference between Bluetooth-only and gateway-connected operation before ordering.
With the 49429 entrance mortice installed, the lever operates as a full entrance lock: lifting the handle engages the mortice deadbolt, and pulling down releases both the deadbolt and the latch. This makes the 59406 suitable for residential front and entry doors where both latching and deadbolt security are required out of the box, with no additional hardware purchases needed.
If your door has a 70mm backset, the 59406 is not compatible - the included 49429 mortice has a fixed 60mm backset. Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries (6V total) - not included. Use high-quality alkaline batteries only. Lithium and rechargeable batteries are not supported and may void warranty.
- Low battery alarm activates below 4.8V via app notification and onboard indicator. Replace all four batteries at the same time.
- Micro USB emergency power port located beside the key barrel under the exterior panel. Connect a power bank to power the lock when batteries are fully depleted - then use PIN, RFID card, or the app to unlock.
- Mechanical key override provides physical backup access at all times. Keep at least one key stored in a secure location outside the door.
Remote App Access (Optional - WiFi Gateway Required)
The 59406 has no built-in WiFi. Remote access features - including remote unlock from anywhere, timed PIN code management, access history, and voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa - require pairing the lock with the Austyle 59419 WiFi Gateway Hub (sold separately). Important - 2.4GHz only: The 59419 gateway requires a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Many modern routers use band steering, which may push devices onto 5GHz and cause connection failure. Without a gateway, the 59406 operates fully as a standalone unit - fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, Bluetooth app (within approximately 5m), and mechanical key. How does the lever handle work with the mortice installed?

The arrow stamped on the rear of the backplate spindle hub must point downward when the 59406 is installed with the 49429 mortice. This is the only correct configuration for this kit. Incorrect arrow orientation will prevent the lock from functioning. Confirm arrow direction before commissioning the lock. Note: this is the opposite rule to the 59407, where the arrow points toward the handle with a mortice fitted. Exclusions — What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Commercial installations — this lock is rated for residential use only
- Damage caused by water entering from the inside of the door (the exterior is rated IP55; internal water ingress is not covered)
- Installation on tongue-and-groove doors, where water can penetrate through the groove
- Installation on gates
- Prolonged direct exposure to sunlight or rain — the lock must be positioned under an eave or in a sheltered area
- Damage caused by use of lithium or rechargeable batteries — only high-quality alkaline AA batteries (4 × AA) are supported
- Damage resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, or failure to follow the installation instructions
- Normal wear and consumable items, including batteries
Important Notes
To maintain warranty coverage, the lock must be installed on a smooth, flat door surface with the rubber gasket correctly seated. Only 4 × AA alkaline batteries are supported — lithium and rechargeable batteries are not compatible and their use may void the warranty. Austyle products purchased from another retailer or website cannot be returned to Terry’s Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites and subsidiaries for warranty assessment.
