The Austyle 59406 Lever Entrance Set is a complete smart digital lever entrance set for residential timber and aluminium doors. It pairs the same five-credential lever set as the Austyle 59405 with the included 49429 entrance mortice (304 stainless steel, 60mm backset), so it installs as a full entrance lock straight from the box. Access is by fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, Bluetooth and mechanical key, all managed in the TTLock app (iOS and Android). Remote WiFi control is available when the lock is paired with the Austyle 59419 WiFi Gateway Hub (sold separately) - understand the difference between Bluetooth-only and gateway-connected operation before ordering.
With the 49429 mortice fitted, the lever operates as a full entrance lock: lift the handle to throw the mortice deadbolt, and press the handle down to release the deadbolt and latch together. That gives a residential front or entry door both latch and deadbolt security out of the box, with no additional hardware to buy.
If your door has a fixed 60mm backset requirement in mind, note the included 49429 mortice is fixed at 60mm and the 59406 will not fit a 70mm-backset door. For a 70mm door, choose the Austyle 59405 Lever Latch Set, which ships with an adjustable 60-70mm tubular latch; the lever set, access methods and all electronic specifications are identical across both products.

Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries (6V total) - not included. Use high-quality alkaline batteries only. Lithium and rechargeable batteries are not supported and may void the warranty.
- Low battery alarm activates below 4.8V via app notification and the onboard indicator. Replace all four batteries at the same time.
- Micro USB emergency power port located beside the key barrel under the exterior panel. Connect a power bank to power the lock when the batteries are fully depleted, then use a PIN, RFID card or the app to unlock.
- Mechanical key override provides physical backup access at all times. Keep at least one key stored securely away from the door.
- Austyle recommends a six-monthly service check of the gaskets, fixings and battery condition to keep the lock weather-sealed and reliable.
Remote App Access (Optional - WiFi Gateway Required)
The 59406 has no built-in WiFi. Remote features - unlocking from anywhere, timed PIN management, access history and voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa - require pairing the lock with the Austyle 59419 WiFi Gateway Hub (sold separately). Select G2 (WiFi) as the gateway type in the TTLock app, keep the hub within about 10 metres of the lock, and connect it to your 2.4GHz home network. Important - 2.4GHz only: the 59419 gateway needs a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Many modern routers use band steering, which can push devices onto 5GHz and cause connection failure. How do I reset it or take over a second-hand lock?
Long-press the reset button under the interior battery cover for 5 seconds, then enter 000# to clear all users and credentials, and re-add the lock in the TTLock app. Always factory-reset a previously used lock before setting it up. Can it go outside or in the rain?
The external (outside) panel is IP55 rated - protected against water spray from any direction and dust. It is suitable for an external residential door under an eave or in a sheltered spot, but not for prolonged direct rain or sun. The internal panel holds the batteries and is interior-use only. Austyle quotes a 200-hour salt-spray test result for the finish. That is a laboratory cabinet test, not a guarantee of coastal service life - in salt-air or beachfront positions, keep the lock well sheltered and rinse and maintain it regularly. Direct, unsheltered coastal exposure will shorten finish life.

The lever mechanism is tested to 250,000 operating cycles. With the recommended six-monthly check of the gaskets, fixings and batteries, that supports many years of normal residential use.

Who becomes the administrator, and how do I hand it over?

No online registration is required. Complete and retain the physical warranty card included in the box along with your proof of purchase.
Exclusions - What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Commercial installations - this lock is rated for residential use only
- Damage caused by water entering from the inside of the door (the exterior is rated IP55; internal water ingress is not covered)
- Installation on tongue-and-groove doors, where water can penetrate through the groove
- Installation on gates
- Prolonged direct exposure to sunlight or rain - the lock must be positioned under an eave or in a sheltered area
- Damage caused by use of lithium or rechargeable batteries - only high-quality alkaline AA batteries (4 x AA) are supported
- Damage resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, or failure to follow the installation instructions
- Normal wear and consumable items, including batteries
Important Notes
To maintain warranty coverage, the lock must be installed on a smooth, flat door surface with the rubber gasket correctly seated. Only 4 x AA alkaline batteries are supported - lithium and rechargeable batteries are not compatible and their use may void the warranty. Austyle products purchased from another retailer or website cannot be returned to Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries for warranty assessment.
