Vault Guardian Vision Smart Lock with Video Intercom and Hands Free Face Recognition
The Vault Guardian Vision is the Guardian lever smart lock enhanced with a built-in indoor display screen, two-way video intercom, and integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. See who is at your door from the app, speak with visitors, receive real-time notifications, and manage the lock remotely from anywhere - all without a separate G5 Gateway.
It combines advanced 3D facial recognition with fingerprint, PIN code, Bluetooth, RFID card, mechanical key, and app control for flexible, secure entry.
Its lever format suits doors where a more traditional handle style is preferred over push-pull hardware, while adding the convenience of on-device video and remote answering.
Usually ships in 3 business days.

Built-in Video Intercom & Wi-Fi
The Guardian Vision adds a two-way video intercom and a built-in indoor display screen to the Guardian platform. See and speak with visitors at your door - from the screen inside or from the Vault app.
With integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, you receive real-time notifications and can answer the door remotely from anywhere - no separate G5 Gateway required.
Note: The video below shows the base Vault Guardian model. The Guardian Vision variant adds a built-in indoor video-intercom display screen (shown in the feature panel above); all other hardware and functions are the same.

Facial Recognition Access
Vault Guardian supports 3D facial recognition for touch-free entry. The 3D sensor type differs meaningfully from 2D camera-based recognition in terms of spoofing resistance - see our buyer's guide for the technical distinction.
Facial recognition works alongside fingerprint, PIN, RFID card, Bluetooth app control, and backup key access. Face capacity for Guardian is listed as 50 users in the supplied manual.
If installing in a commercial, strata, or managed rental context, review the Australian Privacy Act obligations that apply to facial recognition data collection before proceeding.
The external (outside) module is IP55 weather rated for everyday outdoor exposure. The internal module - including the indoor display screen - is for interior use only and is not weather rated.

Wi-Fi Remote Access & Video Intercom
Unlike the standard Guardian, the Guardian Vision has built-in 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Remote access, real-time notifications and the two-way video intercom all work without a separate gateway.
See and speak with visitors from the built-in indoor screen or from the Vault app, answer the door from anywhere, and add Alexa or Google Home functionality on supported systems.
The lock also operates locally over Bluetooth, so face recognition, fingerprint, PIN, RFID and mechanical key entry keep working even if the internet is down.
This lock includes a mechanical key override to ensure access remains available if battery power is unavailable or electronic access cannot be used.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The Guardian Vision adds a built-in indoor display screen and a two-way video intercom (built-in camera and speaker). You can see and speak with visitors from the indoor screen or from the Vault app. Its sister model, the Vault Nexus Vision, offers the same app-based video intercom but has no indoor screen.
No. Built-in 2.4GHz Wi-Fi means remote access, real-time notifications and the two-way video intercom all work without a separate gateway. For how built-in Wi-Fi differs from gateway-dependent locks, see Chapter 08 - Gateway Comparison. The lock also operates locally over Bluetooth if the internet is down.
Yes. It uses 3D facial recognition with a stated capacity of 50 face profiles per the supplied manual. The 3D sensor type differs from 2D camera-based recognition in spoofing resistance.
No. Vault smart locks are not certified for fire-rated doors. For Queensland fire door compliance requirements, see Chapter 05 of our Buyer's Guide.
It uses a lever-handle format rather than a push-pull design. If you need push-pull hardware with the same video intercom, see the Vault Fortress Vision.
Yes. Checking your door type, existing door preparation and mortice backset before purchasing is strongly recommended. See our installation guide for when professional assessment is advisable, and our guide to common hardware selection mistakes.
Additional Information
The Guardian Vision is the video-intercom variant of the standard Vault Guardian. If you do not need the camera, indoor screen or built-in Wi-Fi, the standard Guardian offers the same biometric access in the same lever format. For where each model sits, see the Vault brand profile.
Guardian Vision is one of three Vision models. The push-pull equivalent is the Vault Fortress Vision and the deadbolt equivalent is the Vault Nexus Vision. Guardian Vision and Fortress Vision include the indoor screen; Nexus Vision's intercom is app-only. For the full lineup, see the Vault smart lock range overview.
Deploying facial recognition in a commercial, strata, or managed rental setting may trigger obligations under the Australian Privacy Act. Review these requirements before installation.
A mortice is included in the box, but the correct type for your door still needs to be confirmed and selected at checkout. Choosing the wrong mortice is one of the most common installation errors - see our guide to common hardware and backset selection mistakes.
The Guardian Vision's IP55 rating applies to the external (outside) module only; the internal module with the display screen is for interior use. Correct installation and maintenance still matter, particularly in coastal Queensland environments where salt air accelerates wear.
The Guardian Vision is positioned as a residential entry smart lock. It is not suitable for fire-rated doors, storerooms requiring high-cycle durability, or other applications outside its residential design intent.
Vault Smart Locks products purchased in Australia are covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for:

Important Notes
Where a Vault product carries an Ingress Protection (IP) rating, that rating is stated on the individual product listing, packaging or technical documentation. Unless stated otherwise in writing, the IP rating applies only to the external-facing side of the lock – not to the internal assembly, handle, battery compartment, electronics, cables or connectors. The internal side must be installed in a dry, sheltered position. An IP rating describes water resistance, not waterproofing: the lock must not be submerged, pressure washed, or exposed beyond its stated rating, and all seals, gaskets and covers must be correctly fitted and undamaged.
Vault’s manufacturer policy applies a warranty assessment holding fee, which is refundable if the fault is found to be covered under warranty. If a product is assessed as outside warranty or damaged by an excluded cause, a discounted replacement may be offered. We will confirm any applicable fees and options with you before any assessment proceeds.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
