The E100-PL2SSS is a genuine ASSA ABLOY cover plate set for the Aperio E100 Wireless Escutcheon, supplied as one pair. ASSA ABLOY describes it plainly: the cover plate is used only if required when retro-fitting over existing door furniture.
Its job is to hide what the previous hardware left behind - routing, screw holes, wear marks and paint lines that the E100 footprint does not cover on its own.
These are cover plates. They contain no reader, no radio, no battery and no locking mechanism, and they do nothing on their own. They are fitted behind an Aperio E100 escutcheon, which is a separate product.
This is a restricted product supplied to accredited installers only. It is a special order item and is non-returnable unless faulty. Confirm Aperio system compatibility before ordering.
Each plate is 1.2mm thick, so a pair adds 2.4mm to the effective door thickness. ASSA ABLOY states this must be allowed for when selecting the spindle. If you are ordering a spindle kit at the same time, measure the door and then add 2.4mm before choosing the band - see the E100 spindle kits.

Earlier versions of this listing stated a 52mm plate width. No ASSA ABLOY document in our files states a plate width at all - the catalogue gives the 1.2mm thickness and the E100 escutcheon's 312 x 41 x 10/20mm dimensions, and nothing else. The figure has been removed rather than carried forward unsourced.
